    Vs Hearts

I would make a personnel change and a tactical change from Saturday, with Fitzy in for Sutty and a 4-3-3 formation to match up with them. Chances will probably be at a premium and it should be tight. I'd be delighted if we came away unbeaten.
  2. Depending on Scotland's UEFA co-efficient it looks like 3rd place in the SPL enters the Europa League at the 3rd qualifying stages, 4th place at the 2nd stage and 5th place at the 1st stage....I think!! Not sure about the cup winners, but as it looks likely to be a final involving 2 of the top four anyway its a moot point.
  3. All those games are vital, given that they involve teams around us in the table. I think we are capable of taking a minimum of six points from them, and that should keep us in the top six and in with a shout of Europe next season.
  4. Chuffed with the three points today, brings us withing three of Aberdeen and four of United, and perhaps more importantly three clear of Hibs and the rest. Europe is still on but for me reaching the top six is first priority. Delighted for both our scorers today, here's hoping we can take something from Swinecastle on Wednesday.
  5. Don't let him pole dance for God's sake!!!

    Hearts Game

It is a very sensible idea, that's why it won't happen.
  7. Someone in the media is shit-stirring, cos if we make the top six we'd be due to go to Parkhead and have Rangers at Fir Park.
  8. I called on Monday and put the Well perspective on things. We can't defend the pitch but the hype is getting ridiculous, like the health and safety issue! Laughable!
  9. Getting back to the game, I expect to see Las at right back and Cillian back in up front. they are on a good run but then again, so are we. A draw might be a decent outcome but then again, we could turn around and horse them!!
  10. Before the game it would be worth applauding Terry and Richie, and giving major stick to Malpas and Kerr. After that the focus should be on supporting the current Well players and management.

    Ian Brines

Brines is always poor as far as I'm concerned. His arrogance is as large as his talents as a ref is small.
  12. I have a wee sneaky feeling that its under consideration for next season.
  13. I honestly think that we will see the Cooper returned to Well fans for next season, certainly when Shellic come visiting anyway. Both games this season have seen attendances of 8500 or so, with an away support that could've been fully accomodated in the South.
  14. I predicted 1-1 and am more than happy with that. Very good wholehearted effort from the team, showing lots of desire and determination. Taking everything into account I think we deserved it, and couldn't care less what the Old Firm loving media say! Top Six and climbing, mon the Well!!

    Celtic

Jim O'Brien got my vote as well. A constant problem to Celtic's left flank and also did a tremendous shift defensively. Any honourable menshy too for Fitzy, who worked tirelessly and played well in the middle of the park.
  16. Agreed. Sometimes as fans we need to get a grip. We go totally overboard with negativity after every defeat, yet still find something to moan about after a win or draw! There are loads of fans who have an agenda against certain players or the manager, and will never credit them for anything positive they do. Watch them when their figure of hate screws up in their eyes though! We are Motherwell, we'll never be world beaters. Just enjoy the ride!!
  17. I don't think its the time for knee-jerk reactions to one bad showing in ten games. I think we'll see minimal changes with most of Thursday's team given the chance to make amends. I expect Sutty to start up front with Dazzler brought back to fit it to the 4-4-2 we need to play at Fir Park. For me any result is possible, cos they aint any great shakes themselves. A draw would be just fine but we are capable of winning too. Prediction? 1-1.
  18. We are only goal difference behind Hibs and five points behind Aberdeen, so although Top Six isn't guaranteed we aren't far off a European place either. Stick behind the team and you never know.
  19. Nah nae chance he'll go back to Brighton, any move for him will have to be upwards. Either Celtic up here or Championship or better in England.
  20. If we get through tonight we will play Celtic on Saturday March 7th with a 12.15 kick off for live Sky Sports coverage. Gers v Accies is on BBC the next day at 3pm.
  21. I am thinking along similar lines, would do me just fine that!
  22. That is great news that over 1200 will be cheering the lads on, probably more come kick off time. It should make for a great atmos.
  23. Superb post Dave, agree 100%.
  24. Aye, he'll miss ICT and Jambos away, and United at home.
  25. In fairness the ref was pretty good on Sunday, apart from a couple of calls, but we're never going to be completely happy are we?!!
