What the fuck does she know ? Father Wilfred actually formulated the idea on the back of similar inovations in Edinurgh and Dundee. However, it was not religiously or racially restrictive. Due to prevailing winds, the west ends of Britains expanding industrial cities housed the upper and middle classes while the polluted and often cramped east ends housed the working and unemployed classes. All the 'poor' sods from the east end slums, and there were plenty, were initially intended to benefit from this venture. Bill Dickie was a lucky man, a very lucky man indeed. Now, I certainly do not wish to belittle him with that statement. What I mean is; he was a fan of his local football club and was fortunate enough to live the dream of having a 30yr input to his beloved Football club, including the designing of the South and Cooper Stands. While I've been a critic of the South Stand, it and the Cooper are certainly quite a legacy to leave behind. One I'm sure we'd all be envious of. Hope you get the jist of what I'm trying to say, albeit not very well, sorry. RIP Bill
