  1. nothing new there then. Tayside's finest have always had it in for us Dossers. They think we are all Weegies
  2. a red card already ............. didn't do us any favours earlier in the season. We've got 70mins to make it count so here's hoping
  3. Tannadice is on the side of a very steep hill, and rather exposed to the elements.
  4. You are seeing the true picture now Tamy, what we've been up against for decades. Our media simply pander to Rangers and Celtic, while the rest of us despise them.
  5. We've claw'd back 10 pts on Utd from 10 games Damn good going, and I'll be content with a draw today. Gone for 1-1 on the Predictor.
  6. It's normally regional, but thinks it's the feature game on nan gael 102. something.
  7. Great day out ........... around 3000 of us gave it laldy with "Part-Time Supporters, yer only part-timer supporters", and wee Dougie didn't half make our day
  8. Dalziel Park is I believe governed by the Memorial Trust, which is basically a group of former pupils with affiliation to Dalziel rugby, football and hockey clubs. That is why all 3 sports are catered for, and quite rightly so IMHO.
  9. Believe Dalziel have very active Hockey Clubs (females and males).
  10. Best of luck to all concerned.
  11. On the contrary;- indoor sports barn, indoor gymnasium, and all-weather floodlight pitches. Apparently so good that there's a Q of folks wanting to use it. The Buns were rejected prior to Murray Park opening.
  12. The facilities currently used at Dalziel Park aren't too shabby.
  13. Seriously ? Surely not Mr B Does Ya Beezer give you a clue ?
  14. Spot on Busta, the spelling too
  15. It may well be that we'll have to rely on loan deals for the foreseeable future, and a tie-up with a sympathetic EPL side may be our route to ensuring we have access to additional young talent. Ruddy & the Duke have been a resounding success for us this season, which has perhaps been our downfall. The better a loanee plays the less likely we are to afford him. The poorer he plays the more likely we can afford him, but do we want him ? Rock and a hard place again.
  16. 2 Malpas OG's remember them ? A win would be nice but Utd are a decent team and normally I'd settle for a draw.

    John Ruddy

Tricky one to answer. There is no desputing JR's ability and fine performances this season. However, a keeper can be made to look good by his defenders and equally can be made to look bad by his defenders. Clean sheets are all down to the whole team IMHO.
  18. When many of the so-called 'pundits' had us favourite for the drop ............. an excellent achievement and healthy congrats to all involved from July onwards.
  19. Due to the trouble outside and OB's decision not to let me up the hill, I couldn't get back to my mate's car, (where my car keys were - and my car was parked in Wishaw, while I lived in Leith), so I sponged a lift off a bus and got dropped off at Newbridge. I stood there for ages hoping the McClymonts would drive past and pick me up. But no ........ despite a lot of offers of a lift back to Motherwell from fellow Dossers I ended up walking into Edinburgh minus my car/house keys. I really should write a book
  20. A magnificent Stan header right into top corner, we went mental and he ran behind the goals and dived into the crowd. Was working in the Rococo that night, and he and Paul McLean came to the door. Mr Cusack was right chuffed when I recognised him, proclaiming that afternoon's goal as a right cracker. Signed them both in, and they were regulars thereafter. Reckon wee Tam shafted him, not having him in the Cup Final squad.
  21. I like Tannadice. It's kinda quirky but very atmospheric. Certainly has come on since my 1st trip there. Mid 70's
