  1. Going by the form book this will be 0 - 0 after all 22 players have taken their pens.
  2. We've spent long spells in recent seasons struggling to find creativity. The period between Nicky Law and David Turnbull wasn't exactly overflowing with imaginative midfielders.
  3. I'm certainly not blaming him for today's result, but the more I see of Woolery the more I think he is lacking footballing skills. He's definitely fast, as he showed last week. However, put the ball at his feet and he struggles to beat a man. His shooting is generally weak and his crossing is as questionable as his decision making. With his effort, size and pace I can see why managers might play him, but you just know when he gets the ball inside the box he's going to shoot straight into the defender 4ft in front of him. If we are going to stick with him, I think he's better suited as an impact sub.
  4. Once you've got over the excitement it's time to take your pick.
  5. At least we got a goal from the passing. Humping it up the park is why we were toothless against Ross County and won't be effective here either.
  6. I want to hear the rest of it though. Just not the guy thumbing through his Bumper Book of Obvious Statements.
  7. I wish there was a commentary-free option on MFC TV.
  8. Who was the least culpable in the inevitable "let's blow our chance to go 4th" extravaganza...
  9. If you mean defenders give refs "a decision to make" by challenging for the ball, then of course he did. But the County player fouled him first, putting his arm across Carroll. If he's stood off his man, you'd be complaining about that too.
  10. And not even a foul. Guy just folded like a cheap suit.
  11. Given the way GA communicates injuries, I wouldn't be surprised if he was in the squad or if he required surgery that keeps him out for the next 6 months.
  12. I think Luton actually signed Campbell just before his contract expired. So that let both parties put together a good deal. Good to see it's working out for him so far.
  13. Certainly made a difference in the 2nd half when the defenders started marking, tackling and blocking.
  14. But in a good way rather than "or we're in the relegation fight" way.
  15. Will certainly be interesting to see what GA does in the summer. He's set his stall out now with the style and tactics he wants to play and seen how his own signings have performed. There will obviously be better options in the summer than there were in January, so plenty of opportunity to improve with the right moves.
  16. To be fair, apart from Kelly, the entire team was culpable the first half. We stood off them far too much and let them do what they wanted. Second half was the opposite, where we started to impose ourselves a bit more and press in better areas.
  17. He had Bevis to score first in the sweep.
  18. No Kelly, no party. He was the foundation today.
  19. More likely to get regular starts too I would think. At least he was when McPake was in charge
  20. So - GA made to sit in the stand every week?
  21. Who's going to break the McGinley news to Coatsy?
  22. Better than Dortmund? Thoughts and votes...
