  1. I take back everything I said about it being a banker for an OF player! Well done, and well deserved.
  2. Every ground, every week, and I swear every year, in the 1980s. And at least 3 times per game at Fir Park.
  3. Chat GPT made this a lost easier than the old days when I needed to calculate it manually. In the 12 team Scottish Premiership, our average position has been 7th. In the old, 10 team SPL, our average position was 6th. So statistically this has been a pretty average season. Wrapping up 7th spot would be a decent way to close things out.
  4. I hope 7th was always our aim after the split. It was definitely what I was looking for. Not sure how this one will go, but a win would put a very nice gap between ourselves and the Jambos. With Koutroumbis out, we might need to go with Casey + 3 left backs as our defence.
  5. Top class journalism from the BBC where the "reporter" obviously had trouble with Wimmer's accent. ""We spoke about this at half-time, but the second half was brilliant with certain shots on goal" He said "thirteen shots on goal" ya big numptie.
  6. And at least 4 them need to be strikers.
  7. Aye, I'm not a fan of VAR and would be happy to get rid of it, but while it's being used that was a pretty normal offside decision. He was active and interfered with Thompson, so under today's rules it was offside. No VAR and it would have been a goal. Likewise, no VAR and there would have been no sending off, but under today's rules it was a clear red. Dundee's form all season has been scoring first and losing late goals, so it was smart of us to go at them towards the end even with our 10 men. And still on course for 5 wins out of 5 post-split.
  8. I liked GA as a person, enjoyed listening to him talk about the game, and happy he is doing well. I'm glad, however, we're not still watching the brand of football that led to his demise.
  9. Puts him in good company back there. One of my frustrations in the modern game is coaches don't seem to care that full backs can't defend as long as they can get forward and cross a ball. But another excellent result.
  10. Nice and Maswan-easy does it. Take your pick...
  11. Motherwell win and Jambos fall to an embarrassing loss would be fine with me.
  12. If we removed every post that was ill informed, we'd be left with a few MOTM threads and the Manager's press conferences.
  13. I've also read on here that Higdon was fat and useless.
  14. And we're all grateful for that as otherwise we'd have another relegation to add to our history.
  15. Regarding spreading the cost, I see the details are contained in the brochure you can download here. But I agree it could have been better publicised elsewhere.
  16. Who can we afford as a part time squad player to free up wages for.first team starters?
  17. Would like to see Ayr Utd come up, but the odds are very much against them.
  18. Kaleta was good until we crocked him.
  19. That would do. Play for win. OK with a draw. Just don't lose.
  20. At least they didn't put them all on the same tractor.
  21. I think we injured most of our loanees at some point didn't we? No favouritism in our training regime.
  22. Or neither of these things. Maybe he'll bring in players that are quite good and we do quite well.
  23. It's always tough for young keepers. Sitting on the bench every week with with close to zero chance of game time isn't exactly a great way to develop. Going on loan gives you that experience, but then you're not available if the first team keeper is injured. Someone like Ward has over 100 first team appearances, but presumably is OK playing second fiddle as needed. Either way, it can't be much fun being a second choice keeper anywhere.
  24. He was my MOTM at the weekend, and I think Wimmer's approach to the game suits him much better than the formations SK tried to use him in. The question is can he do it on a consistent basis under the new gaffer.
  25. I'm just thinking more about the players' mentality. When you're a professional sports person, it's much easier to be playing to win something (like top of our split) than playing to avoid a loss. Of course, as fans, we don't have to worry about that so can also hope other teams do us a favour.
