  1. But not nearly as much as the selfish eejits who think they are special and can sit where they like.
  2. From what I've heard and read, it's missing those chances that helped him rise to cult status. (Not a criticism, btw, I like a bit of character and unpredictability in the team).
  3. If 2m is safe and we can't restrict the crowd to two-jabs-only, where's the harm? We've never tried to come out of a pandemic before (as the recent large spike in infections rate shows), so if a couple of games where you sit in a different seat is the price to pay, then it shouldn't be too much of an effort.
  4. Exactly. If this been billed as a pre-season friendly against QoS, most people would have been saying how nice it was to get a day out in the sunshine, back in the stadium and a win to boot. And while it's not a friendly, it is still very much a pre-season game, a day out in the sunshine, back in the stadium and a win to boot.
  5. So you'd rather get in 3 bodies for the first 4 games that aren't too good, than 3 players that are key team members for the next couple of seasons? If we're bringing in players from down south, it's quite possible we won't see them until late July or early August. In fact, we brought in guys like Watt and O'Donnell as free agents after the window closed and that worked out OK.
  6. And I think it's another freebie for the overseas MFC TV subscribers.
  7. Just going by the, albeit short, Sky Sports page that had quoted a squad number (76) https://www.skysports.com/football/player/172908/michel-parker But I did say it was a "brief google search" - I'm still at work here.
  8. From a brief google search looks like he was at Liverpool, West Ham and Arsenal - so you'd think he some potential.
  9. I'd imagine local authorities on the ground are better placed to make these calls than the Government. When you listen to our safety officer's bit on YouTube today, he mentions things like the shallow pitch of the seat rows in the Hunter means we need 2 rows gap in there. I imagine in other stands and other grounds that's different, and I'm sure there are a dozen other different critiera that need to be taken into account,
  10. The list of youngsters we've released in my lifetime who have gone on to play at a higher level remains at zero. Statistically, sooner or later, there will be an exception, but it's difficult to argue against our track record on that front.
  11. Mine says it's for the end of my couch (bacon roll included). Hope nobody's in my seat.
  12. You ask, so that they will accommodate you if they can - they just can't guarantee it.
  13. As always, there are all sorts of factors in play for last night's game. GA listed a few e.g. Lamie hardly had any game time due to illness, a number of players not playing due to niggles or short term injuries, Queens Park a couple of weeks ahead in their training, new players finding their feet and learning a new system and, possibly most important, he said that they are doing some high intensity training right now (without winding down for a match day) and players went into the game fatigued. That's how every team has to prepare this early in the season, so all you can do is try to pick up points and look for improvement in each game - and qualifying from your group. It has its pros and cons. but it's more entertaining than pre-season friendlies.
  14. I wasn't able to watch the full 90, but during the spells I did see, Maguire looked the best of the bunch.
  15. Good workout. No injuries. Three points. Plenty for the coaches to get stuck into. Bring on the crowds.
  16. And MFC TV if you're an overseas subscriber.
  17. Just checked again. Still says we were third. The facts don't care about any of our feelings or predicitions. Not sure why anyone would be upset by that - we got a nice payout that helped set us up for last season.
  18. If you log into your 'Well TV account, what does it say? Just askin' like
  19. He left in January 2020. We finished 3rd that season. I agree we missed him, but I'd be delighted with another form dropping 3rd this season.
  20. It's pretty impressive for a club our size. (And just to make sure I wasn't imagining it, I checked the MFC Twitter feed, and it was on the 4th July they mentioned numbers when promoting their season ticket scheme). "Join our 4,000+ season ticket holders, or help someone else get to the football by donating to our Well In scheme."
  21. I liked Scott and thought we missed him when he left. But at that point he wasn't a first team regular and he has struggled to be a first team regular down south. If we were signing someone on loan (and the article says he's looking for a loan deal) a Jordan Roberts would be more valuable at this point. If it was a permanent signing, then I'd be delighted to see him back at Fir Park as I'm sure he can develop into a top player.
  22. The did say they were offering live streams in the Cooper and Centenary, but haven't heard any more about that since.
  23. On a related note, I see the video stream for tomorrow's game (for overseas subscribers) has popped up in my MFC TV account.
  24. Everybody that had a season ticket last season has one this season, plus there's the 500 hundred families or more that are benefiting from the Society scheme. Plus the club mentioned 4000+ on Twitter. So presumably we are in decent shape there.
  25. As an actual Gen X-er, I welcome 'Flow's recognition of my embracing of the Tweeter and Whatsup social medias softwares.
