  1. It's the 2020's equivalent of Jeremy Beadle.
  2. I honestly wouldn't judge any player in any league on this season's performances. It has been a hell of a weird campaign with all sorts of unusual circumstances to deal with. From driving to games and periods of self-isolation to socially distanced team meetings and, for some, not being able to see family for months. Even at the highest level, the best teams have often struggled to find form or consistency. As I've said a few times this season, I was delighted to have football back and it definitely helped getting through lockdown. I'm equally delighted, however, that the season is over and never want to see another one like this again.
  3. I'm a big fan of Watt, but I've never been a big fan of strikers being captain. Can you imagine Louis Moult yelling at Hartley or Aldred to tell them how to defend?
  4. See, that's what I'm talking about. We've done well the past few games to stay motivated in less meaningful games, but when you are playing a team fighting for survival, it's difficult to match that additional intensity they bring.
  5. They'll need to step up their tempo. Throw another striker or two on and chop us down if we look anywhere near a second. Although, I must admit, I'm not watching the same game as you. I agree that, unsurprisingly, County have more of an edge to their game, but a lot of their build up has been ponderous.
  6. Killie strolling it at 2 - 0 now. I expect County to come out swinging the second half.
  7. I've been keeping an eye on a Killie stream. Safe to say Accies won't be scoring 9 today.
  8. Does he not do media work these days?
  9. Central mid always struggles without Campbell. Going to be a hard man to replace.
  10. County playing like a team that's desperate to win. We're playing like a team that would like to win - just not quite as much dig.
  11. Nice move for the goal. Jammy finish.
  12. In other news I have "refused to rule out" the possibility of swimming across the Atlantic for the first home game next season.
  13. I don't know who chose them (Campbell's dad?), but I thought, for example, Devante's flick round the defender to set up O'Donnell was much better than some of those. From the selection offered, Mugabi's is still the most impressive for me.
  14. Eh? I'm in the "back to haunt us is a pure myth" camp. (Unless you were joking, in which case I'm in the "back to haunt us is a pure myth, but I'm a bit gullible" camp. I agree that whoever finishes 11th is almost guaranteed to stay up. The play-offs were designed to massively favour the Premiership team. As long as we don't make too many changes to the team, I think we'll win this by the odd goal or two, even if wee Al is still out injured.

Surely Wee Al was played with the agreement he'd come off after a few mins with "an injury" as part of a deal with his new club to not play again this season. No evidence, obviously, but definitely true.
  16. This - plus let's hope he's not a McLeish in the transfer department.
  17. Similar for me, but I'm going for Kelly. He had a good save a 2 - 0, and I watching the game again last night, I thought he played a part in Shanklin's penalty miss. Similar to his save against St Mirren, he stayed on his feet as long as possible. That takes away the "down the middle" option and forces the taker to pick a side. Of course, the taker is still favourite, but it all helps.
  18. I compared 2 players who have played in the Premiership in recent years with similar goal scoring records to show what Lafferty has offered his previous employers. That was to back up the point I was making. The point I was making (in case it wasn't clear) is that, despite his recent mini run of goals, his career stats are less impressive than some people may think they are. For example, before joining Kilmarnock, Lafferty had racked up 42 league goals in his previous eight and half seasons. tl;dr yes.
  19. While there's no doubt he's been on a good we run the past few weeks, you might want to check out his stats over the past few season (or longer). Ryan Bowman has a better scoring record.
  20. I'd rather see Killie get the automatic spot and Accies go down in the playoff. However, I think whoever finishes 11th will canter to victory in the play-off.

If we dropped everyone's whose performance dropped this season, we'd struggle to field a starting 5.
  22. They are also the lowest scoring team in the Premiership.
