I see what you mean. The stripe ends up being a bit wider than I imagined too. Still a fine effort, though. How about a pin stripe width hoop (about the same width as the collar) just under the sponsor logo?
-
Looks great, but think it might work even better with the main stripe as the old 1970's diagonal.
-
It doesn't mean the story came from the club, though. Sadly, the days of journalists only publishing an article when they have 2 independently confirmed sources are long gone; especially on the internet. Onthefringes has consistently proved to be a much more reliable source.
-
The three stripes remind me of the classic Adidas Stefan Edberg 90s tennis shirt.

Given his comments on his recent BT Sport interview, it sounded like he didn't want it yet. (Of course, the alternative view is that he would say that, wouldn't he).
-
Was that you telling me off for having an opinion we're all entitled to?
-
Can I suggest the "buy nothing and shut up" option?
-
It would be ridiculous if you were forced to buy one. Or they promised you 20 home games. As neither is the case, the only ridiculous thing is you trying to tell fans how they should spend your money.
-
Why is it ridiculous? If fans want to support their club now, and have the money to do so, they can buy a season ticket in full knowledge that next season could/will be altered. If fans don't want to take the risk of buying a season ticket now, or can't afford it in current climate, they can wait. Both perfectly reasonable options. It's not like anyone is being forced to buy tickets.
-
I think that depends on what UEFA come up with. I read a week or two ago they were open to automatically extending existing contracts to cover seasons being completed and extending the transfer window if necessary. Another option being considered was letting clubs do their regular transfer business now, but not activating the new contracts until the new season officially starts. What the logistics would be regarding payment of wages for that gap in the middle, however, wasn't explained.

I heard back from Wendy at the club and this is how I managed to register. It seems that it recognises my Well Society membership number. So I had to do the following: - On the sign-in page, click on the "Forgot your login details" link - For Customer Number, enter your Well Society membership number. It needs to be 5 digits, so add 0 or 00 at the front if necessary. - Click the Reset Password button - that sends a reset password email to the email address on file - Use the reset password link from the email - Sorted

I tried US number with country code and without country code. I tried a (real) UK number and fake UK number after choosing UK as a location. And a combination of all of these on a UK VPN, all from my desktop. Still no luck. I pinged support to see if they could assist, but no reply yet.

I'm pleasantly surprised we managed to keep both Carson and Gillespie for so long (albeit, Carson was out for a while). The fact that Trevor extended his contract suggested that Gillespie would be moving on and, as you say, an EPL move would be great for Gillespie and another great advert for the club.

I'm the opposite. Wasn't a big fan of that Admiral template for the home shirt - it felt like loads of teams were using it. Loved the change top, though, so swings and roundabouts I suppose. Remember a few great games under the Fir Park floodlights wearing that white kit (in the days when it was the home team that had to change).

Slightly off topic, but have any overseas posters managed to create an account to buy tickets for the Motherwell v Covid-19 initiative? Even after I work around the fact it needs a valid UK mobile number, every time I try to create an account I get "Unexpected Error".

You'd have been jealous of him and all that he achieved. People come and go from all sites like this. It's part of their natural life cycle. The vast majority of discussion boards wither and die fairly quickly. That happens even quicker when there is no moderation and the trolls and spammers take over. It's a testament to posters and moderators on here that the site has been ticking over for so long with minimal intervention required.

I miss those terraces.

Season 2021-22 - 90th anniversary of 1931-32 league title win
weeyin replied to underboyleheating's topic in Club Chat
I like to shirt, but not in favour of 90 year anniversary anything. -
I think it's time to reinstate the Humphreys Hutchison Trophy for Excellence in Spelling.
-
I think 'Flow talked about it in a radio interview. From memory, it was first week in (or maybe just "early") April that he mentioned.
-
I didn't suggest it was intentional - but it was 100% a foul and 100% a yellow card even in the 90s. Even then keepers received more than generous protection.
-
Even our cup winning team was useless at seeing out a game with a 2 goal lead.
-
It's been fun watching the retro 90's rules where you can pass the ball back for the keeper to pick up and assault the keeper in mid-air without getting a foul against you.
-
Certainly another good way to support the club for people who are able and looking for an option. And with the early bird being extended, it will help make sure that those who want to (or have to) wait won't miss out.
