Celtic seem to like buying decent players with no real plan on how to use them. The most recent example is Lewis Morgan who played the vast majority of his football on loan before being punted to the MLS.

Until the development fee is extracted from Columbus, I think we can all agree he is an excellent footballer with international caps and huge potential.

I've seen Gorrin a few times since he moved to Oxford and he's usually had a good game (and seems highly rated by the commentators and pundits).

They would be daft to blindly buy any guy. But we know he'll be subjected to at least the same rigourous level of medical tests that identified the issue in the first place. I'd be happier if nobody wanted him until he gets another full season under his belt at Fir Park, but I can't see that happening. I fully expect a club will be happy to take a relatively low risk on him. If not Celtic, then an English club.

I wasn't a big fan of the Watt option before we sold Scott (as I'd prefer if we had been able to develop him for the remainder of the season). Now that Scott's moved on, I agree it's a low risk option to take a look and see if he can do a job for the remainder.

With the way the negotiations happened and the comments in the aftermath, I'd be surprised if they don't still have the first option to buy. If they decline, I'd still be surprised to see Turnbull at Fir Park next season in role other than "back for a visit". I'd be delighted, however, if he is in our line-up next season.

The most noticeable thing about our team this season (and to a certain extent last season) is that when we are bad, every single player is bad - nobody seems capable of pulling us out of the nosedive during the 90 minutes. Livi being the most recent example, but Accies and the Hearts cup tie are other examples. We have bounced back each time, so hopefully that will continue.

The big difference when you play Celtic is that they are better at taking advantage of your mistakes. If you make 2 slip-ups in defence, they are likely to score 2 goals. Likewise, up front, clear chances will be limited and we need to be clinical. I completely agree we better off going for it than sitting in.

Of course, we'll put in a performance in this game that could have earned us at least at point against Livingston, but will probably see us lose by a couple of goals to Celtic.

Clearly that is a valid statistical analysis of an appropriate sample size over an appropriate time frame accounting for external variables. You might was well use today's game as a sample and extrapolate that "we lose every game and only former players score against us"
