    Hospitality

It's a long time since we did the Cooper Box hospitality - (lost to Dundee and Nacho Novo scored!) - and it's changed a lot since then. We've done the Centenary Suite a few times in recent seasons and it has been excellent. As well as the meal and the bar, they have an MC keeping things going before, during and after the game and typically have a few players dropping in for interviews and MoTM presentations.
  2. Just taking advantage a free FA Cup weekend, I think (at least that's what the commentator on MFC TV said).
  3. This is going to be a tough one. I think it's only Aberdeen (2 - 0) and Rangers (1 - 0) that have beaten Livi at home so far this season. We drew - which I said at the time was a decent effort - and Celtic lost. Any kind of a win would be a great result.
  4. The safest approach, as even the video highlights of games on that pitch can make your eyes bleed.
  5. I wasn't there, so all I remember is how poorly we played - thanks in large part to the gaffer going into "overthinking it" mode which he did from time to time.
  6. Welcome to our Society. In a few days you will receive the secret scrolls that explain the meaning of the paint on the stairs in the East Stand and a map of the tunnels between the Phil O'Donnell Stand and The Electric Bar.
  7. I was at the Accies game a few seasons ago (Louis Moult, 1 - 0) where we filled the away stand and had some extra in the gazebo.
  8. And, by all accounts, Gomes' injury was a clean break and dislocation - which is pretty straightforward (from a medical perspective).
  9. Sounds like we'll have a decent crowd to see us dominate a game for 89 minutes and lose 1 - 0 to a deflected shot in the 90th,
  10. I don't think Richard Gordon or Willie Miller hide the fact they are Aberdeen fans either. To be honest, I'd much rather listen to anybody talking about any non-OF club than listen to one more second about the ugly sisters. However, I just avoid it all by not listening to any of it (except for Off the Ball sometimes).
  11. Do you think we are chipping in with Tam Cowan's wages?
  12. I think he's been dining out on the "scored the winner against Barcelona" for a few years. When he played for St Johnstone I don't remember thinking "I wish we'd signed him" so I'd need some convincing.
  13. I'm not sure how any Aberdeen fan's bitterness about us nicking the runners up spot could be anything less than very entertaining.
  14. Glossing over the 2 -1 defeat in the 2016/17 Scottish Cup doesn't mean in never happened.
  15. Also, ST/WS members are only getting one ticket each. It's not like they're being allowed to buy extras for their mates. Pretty standard stuff.
  16. His Rotherham stint seemed to mirror his first team spell with us. Made a good start, then faded a bit as teams wised up on how to deal with him and ended up with 15 minute appearances from the bench. If someone can coach him to be as effective on the outside as he is cutting inside he still has the potential to be a good addition somewhere.
  17. I'd rather our coaching staff worked on developing a guy that wants to be here. Even if Hastie wasn't a ex-player, though, I've always been 100% against loans between clubs in the same league for various reasons I've stated in the past.
  18. He's not exactly the 20 goals a season striker Robinson says he'd like. The stats read 14 goals total in the five and a half seasons he's played in the Scottish leagues.
  19. Let's just say we haven't won a league game at Ibrox for 20+* years then, which is sufficiently abject. * or whatever the exact number is. It's so long I don't remember, and it's depressing to look it up.
  20. Wonder if we get a cut from that deal. I think he still had a year left on his contract when he left us, so we might have had a sell-on in the deal as a sweetener.
  21. Aye, but like I said in my other post - it's 20+ years for us now. But given we have beaten Celtic multiple times in those 2 decades, there must be more to it. And I still think a large part of it is because Rangers tend to be much more phyiscal, whereas Celtic tend to play more football - and we always perform better against the latter. (And it's no coincidence we beat Rangers in the cup semi when we had our full contingent of hammer throwers in the team).
  22. Gary McAllister was good on BT Sport too. Pity he seems to have dropped out of the game.
  23. If I watch Sportscene (and often I don't bother), I watch on BBC iPlayer after the broadcast and skip the studio bits.
  24. I must be listening to different pundits in the Premiership, because the one on Sunday obviously didn't understand the new handball rules, and barely a week goes by without one of them thinking that "getting a piece of the ball" somehow means it can't be a foul. The BBC Scotland pundits are pretty poor too - but that's what happens when you slash budgets. It's no surprise the better ones are on Sky or BT Sport (or in the US, NBC Sports) where they spend more money.
  25. We've beaten Celtic multiple times during the 20+ year barren run against Rangers, with the same mentality.
