We do, however, need to be wary of falling into the cycle of developing young players and selling them off before they play a full 1st team season in order to generate funds to improve the training facilities to develop young players to sell off before they play a full 1st team season etc. etc. At some point we need some of our next crop of youngsters to play the number of games a Cadden or a Campbell have given us. With Scott gone, there is going to be a gap before the next youngsters start making regular appearances. As I may have said before, the first priority of the academy is to develop a quality of player we could never afford to buy. The second is to generate income, but if we don't get a decent run in the team from them then we are losing value to the team - the value that is a fan paying money to be entertained; the only reason our club (or any club) exists.

And yet they are all below us in the league.

I think, unfortunately, a side-effect of the restriction is that BBC Scotland (and the other broadcasters) don't cover the game. Or if they do, it's one camera highlights. So there isn't a stream the club can use for MFC TV. They do film it themselves for the coaching staff, so in theory they could stream that live. I guess that is just too much of a hassle in these situations.

The EPL flouts the broadcast rule too - they just pay the fine and UEFA looks the other way. The bigger point is that for streaming outside of Europe, there shouldn't even need to be a rule.

St Mirren, Accies and Livi away were always out of the mix, but missing a league game at Fir Park is a bit much. Especially one that was originally scheduled for broadcast. Also eliminates one of my "working from home" perks.

It looked horrific. Even more annoying that Long (correctly) gets booked for kicking the ball away and the Accies player gets the same punishment for a tackle that could have crocked Aarons.

I watch a lot of the English games (EPL and lower leagues) and the main difference in refereeing there is the refs get it wrong, then 2 minutes later VAR gets it even more wrong.
