  1. If I was DT, I'd be most concerned about where I was going to get game time at this point in my career. Celtic don't have the best track record for fielding young players they buy (Ryan Christie and Lewis Morgan spring to mind), but I'm not sure Newcastle would be much better in that regard. However, I'm not DT, and expect he'll make the decision that suits him best (as he should). In the meantime, I just hope we get at least another 6 months from him.
  2. He can say what he likes. DT is under contract with us for the next 2 seasons.
  3. It's also professional courtesy. Seems a fairly common practice to give scouts/managers from other teams access to games - and the same teams allow our scouts into their games. Sometimes they want to go unnoticed so they pay their gate money, but that seems to be less common these days. I remember one game where David Pleat was on the Fir Park terrace (so the unnoticed thing didn't go too well).
  4. Borussia Dortmund have just signed a 17 year-old (43 first team appearances) from Birmingham City in deal worth a potential £22.5 million. Maybe DT's agent should give them a call.
  5. I'd love to see Turnbull play at least the first half of the season for us. As I've said many times before, the main point of our academy is produce a quality of player that we could never afford to buy. Assuming he does regain his form - and there's no reason to think otherwise - he did right by us when he extended his contract to 2022, so we don't need to rush into any quick deals. I'm sure Celtic will be looking for a discount, but I'd be pointing out to them that good players' value increases when they get older. So I think it's important for us and DT to get a run of first team games under his belt.
  6. He ruptured his achilles and needed surgery. As he said in his interview this week that means not even being able to put weight on the foot for 6 - 8 weeks. It's only after that any kind of rehab can start. I'm not sure who said "out for a few weeks" but a couple of days after his injury Robinson said
  7. It also answers the question of why we didn't slap the logo in the middle of the mask. Looks horrendous.
  8. The short version is if you want to see video streams in the UK you need to be a regular season ticket holder and you will receive a code and full instructions on how to gain access. The long version is that there are 3 options. Two are just continuation of the options available last season and one is the temporary option for season ticket holders this season. 1) Overseas fans can buy access to stream all available home and away games. This does not include ground entry if you are back home. (Same as last season) 2) UK and Ireland based fans can buy access to stream all available Audio Only home and away games. This does not include ground entry if you are back home. (Same as last season). 3) Season Ticket holders will be granted temporary access to stream home games within the UK while the closed-door restriction is in place. This access will be revoked once the closed-door restrictions are removed. (At this point nobody knows if away games will be an option to stream, but right now it appears not). If you are UK based, the way to obtain video streaming access is to buy a ground-access season ticket. You will then be sent a code. If you are UK based and want to buy Audio Only access, then you can sign up and pay for that any time. This probably sounds a lot more complicated than it is.
  9. It's on the website: https://tv.motherwellfc.co.uk I normally use an Android set top box plugged into my telly to watch it.
  10. Opened on July 14th and closes on 6th October.
  11. They just posted some highlights on Twitter. For our second goal Hastie took the guy on the outside and stood up a cross with his right foot. No wonder he got a good write-up
  12. If any fan doesn't want Hastie to do well while he's playing for us they need some therapy, not PR from a friendly.
  13. Were they sell outs? If so, see my 2nd point above. I can watch Jets, Giants and Patriots games while living in the blackout region because they meet the clause that requires 90%+ of their seats being sold.
  14. And that's why the domestic streaming option won't work as the ugly sisters will be the only ones likely to make money from ditching Sky and broadcasting their own games. And Sky don't want to lose them.
  15. Here in the US most Ice Hockey, American Football and Baseball games are shown live. However, there are a couple of caveats. First, there are blackouts. So if you live within a certain radius (20 or 30 miles) the local TV channels often aren't allowed to broadcast the game live. So if you are a local who wants to see the game you need to buy a ticket. The second option is the sell-out clause. This requires a game to have sold a minimum percentage of their capacity (typically 90% or more) before the game can be broadcast live. This isn't a big deal for clubs in New York, Chicago etc. but it presents challenges for some teams to the extent they end up giving away thousands of tickets to schools, colleges, veterans associations etc. to bump up their number. End result is that you get full stadiums for live games that are being broadcast.
  16. Darren Smith joins East Kilbirde. Much younger than I thought, but I suppose that happens when you make your senior debut at 16.
  17. Makes sense. As he was transfer listed I doubt Peterborough would have worried about releasing him early - although I guess there would need to be some legal paperwork drawn up regarding who paid his wages etc. pre-window.
  18. With Barry Fry in the mix, I'm sure we come to some mutually acceptable, flexible arrangement.
  19. He's made a few appearances for Hull since he recovered from his injury, included being in the starting 11 twice. (More than I thought he'd have at this stage - I thought he'd be straight into their reserve team).
  20. Good to see the Wigan players dealing with the club's crisis in a positive way.
  21. I'm having trouble keeping track of the transfer window situation. I see the Scottish window has officially opened today and will last until October 5th. Is the English Championship still aligned with the EPL's plan to wait until the current campaign finishes? I've seen various things written about letting the EFL work differently, but nothing definitive.
  22. Karma for who? It's Columbus that owe us money and they have the player.
  23. On the side is edgy and urban chic. In the middle is for auld yins like us.
  24. Much less money, I'd think. Especially where families are involved. One household of 2 or 3 people watching a stream would generate the club's cut of a tenner or less. 2 or 3 people going through the gate would generate much more than that, even at season ticket prices.
  25. Biased() match report on the Utd website
