  1. To be fair, that patter is usually "come back to haunt us". Given we won both of those games, it was about as haunting as Rentaghost. I'd be delighted if Danny Johnson's team was as scary as that.
  2. I voted for him in one of the public votes - I'm sure it can't be long before he's inducted. Easily one of the best players we've ever had.
  3. That's old news. The most recent myth that I saw busted is "no better time to score a goal than just before half time". A study of 1,179 Champions League and Europa League games proved that teams scoring just before half time fared 0.520 goals worse over the course of a game.
  4. Aye, it's the one round where playing a Premiership team can be advantageous - like when we beat Accies. A Championship team pushing for promotion and in the middle of a competitive season, is a different challenge when you have been on a break.
  5. I don't mind Scott on the right. What I don't like is that, when he plays there, Gillespie punts it to him 100% of the time he has the ball in his hands.
  6. Feels like a while since we played Raith Rovers, so a trip to Starks Park would be nice.
  7. We seem to regularly turn in performances like this after an international break and the winter shutdown.
  8. Despite all the chat about new manager bounce, this is probably the best week to play them. They will either be playing with the old tactics, or taking a first shot at using some new ones. (Cue the Hibs goal that triggers the comeback).
  9. Kipré was bought for our U20s, but he made the step up quite quickly. Pure speculation, of course, but I think his shot at the first team would have come quite quickly. Even if he ended up being loaned out a Championship team, I think he would learn more than playing Accies and Livingston another 15 times. I'm with you, though. The more often he plays for us, the better.
  10. Great work from Hylton to set up the initial shot off the post.
  11. I'd have taken the Norwich offer and got myself some EPL experience and coverage.
  12. Then let's just keep him. As a fan owned club whose reason for existence is to entertain the crowd, there's a lot value in having him stick around for a while yet. No point in flogging all our best players before they manage a full season with the club. If he's happy to stay at Fir Park, I'm happy to watch him play.
  13. We are. I see it listed as Live Video.
  14. I don't think it's weird for a professional footballer. The op was preventative and obviously something all parties agreed was a good idea. A simple fracture in the leg would be minor too, but after 6 weeks in plaster, could still take some work to get back to full fitness.
  15. If we swapped Donnelly and Campbell for Allan and Mallan we wouldn't win a contested ball in the midfield for the rest of the season.
  16. The link I posted contains no mock outrage. Just an explanation of why many Jewish football fans find it offensive, and how the vast majority of people who toss it around are not Jewish. Personally, I've never found a situation where I would need to use it, so it's no bother avoiding it and risk offending anyone.
  17. That's because most of the people that use it aren't Jewish and many Jews see it as antisemitic.
  18. Luckily the rest of the team was on sparkling form against Aberdeen or we could easily have lost 2 or 3 nil.
  19. I don't mind Willie Miller's diatribes. I don't agree with them very often, but he doesn't hide his Aberdeen bias, so it's easy to filter out. Same for Richard Gordon or Tam and Stuart on Off the Ball. It's more annoying to me when pundits try and pretend they support a wee team when they are obviously OF fans. (Aye, I'm looking at you Chick Young).
  20. So one bad game and we should drop our most creative player who helped boss Hibs the last time we played them? Sounds like a plan.
  21. Aye, let's drop Polworth - one of our best performers this season - because he had an off day at Parkhead.
  22. I see our ex-keeper is up against Falkirk's ex-keeper in the Euros tonight. Both seem to have done OK for themselves.
