I'm thinking the 2017/18 season when Accies destroyed us at Fir Park in December when Hartley sold 2 goals and was sent off after the game. Tanner scored the opener, Moult and Cadden were out injured and Campbell went off early. We played 7 games that month (I was at 2 of them) and managed 1 draw and 6 defeats. The cup runs were great, but the league football entertainment was dire - and Tanner was one of the few (or only) players we had that could beat men and pass a ball.

I think he was our second top scorer (and number one for assists) when he got injured. Given our dire form - especially the first half of that season - that wasn't too shabby.

Although, to be fair, Airdrie did play fast and loose with their entire club given that they pulled an even slicker move than Sevco to pretend they are the same club now.

He had a decent long range shot tipped over the bar. Then missed an absolute sitter from about 6 yards. The goal he scored was well taken, but keeper made a pigs ear of saving it and let it sneak in at his near post.

I had such a good time following the team in that Adidas kit - the length and breadth of the country, to lots of old grounds that don't exist any more - it will always be my favourite. It was at times, one of the worst teams I've seen, but the build-up to the games at school all week and then meeting up with my mates on the terrace on a Saturday for terrible banter was what we lived for. Couldn't beat it for entertainment value.

Most of them would struggle to work out how to get a free coffee from a loyalty card scheme (maybe a little harsh).
