Champions League shouldn't even be a league. That was another protectonist demand from the wealthy clubs who didn't want the risk of being knocked out in an early round of a proper cup competition. And then they complain about too many games in a season before jetting off to Thailand to play a few more.

"So Cammy. On a scale from one to Marvin Johnson, just how bad was that keeper's mistake?"
-
Miller to PSG?

And part of our glorious First Division winning team in the 1984/85 season.

Imrie must still be laughing when he sees how much he managed to upset some 'Well fans. Exactly the reaction he was looking for with his antics.
-
Stenhousemuir is also a plastic pitch one.

Last cup game I went to see at Ochil View ended 0 - 0, but we scored 6 (I think) in the replay at Fir Park.

That sounds like the Marketing department trying to explain the poor design choices! Hopefully not.

There will be lots of managers getting sacked or resigning this time of year, so I wouldn't read anything into any of them. As for Jack Ross, according Wikipedia, he is working as a coach in Newcastle's academy.

Great deal for the fans, terrible deal if you are a shirt sponsor.

On one hand, it should have been easy as we had reasonable form coming into the game and we were playing the team that finished in 3rd place, 24 points behind Hearts. On other hand, it was us, at Ibrox...
-
2nd leg would have been an easier watch if Rangers had scored at Ibrox. After the first 20 at Fir Park, however, I was confident we would win as we started to take control of the game.

First spell in the Championship he won it with 21 points to spare, ahead of Hibs and Rangers, and fielding quite a few youngsters. Easier than the Premiership of course, but not a run-of-the-mill title. In general, I have no issues employing a manager that knows our league and has had multiple successes in the Championship. But as I also said, I can't see him being who we bring in

On one hand, it was an obviously memorable playoff that we all enjoyed. Especially the first leg. On the other hand, it's still a mystery how a team with so many good players finished in the playoff spot. I agree Baraclough played a blinder on and off the park. Handled the media perfectly and got the players into exactly the right mindset. Also loved the fact that Gary McAllister was the co-commentator on the broadcasts.

I'd be fine with Morton and Peterhead away and the other two at home so we get 4 games on grass.
-
Neilson had a decent record at Hearts both spells. Given he played at right back, he might even know how to organise a defence. Wouldn't be my first choice, but can't see him ending up at Fir Park anyway,

Also, their "traditional" designs are not too traditional. Dundee Utd, for example, didn't start playing in tangerine until 1969 and Aberdeen played in yellow and black stripes for about 40 years before they changed to the "traditional" red.

If the Board listened to the fans, we'd still be in the Championship after Tommy Wright was hired a couple of vacancies ago.
-
No thanks. We need to rebuild that central defence with players that don't keep drifting out of position, don't keep losing their man and don't keep giving the ball away. Giving 100% is the bare minimum I expect from anyone in the squad.

Unless it's Airdrie, Clydebank, Airdrie United, Airdrie.

Good idea extending the early bird season ticket pricing so fans can see who the new gaffer will be.

They are usually split into: Leaving after contract expired Leaving after contract terminated Staying because they are under contract Leaving, but offered a new deal Transfer agreed. Under the current circumstances, it's possible one or more of those categories has not been fully decided or communicated, so they could be waiting until all that business is done before announcing them all.

People only tend to worry about that when the team isn't playing well. From Brian Clough to José Mourinho, the footballing world is full of managers with huge egos. I agree it contributed to his downfall though, as he obviously left to "protect his brand".
-
Doesn't the squad update usually happen after the expiry of current contracts? - typically 31st May.

Like most managers, SK did some good things and some bad things. On the plus side, he figured out what KVV needed to be effective, turned Theo Bair around for a tidy sum, gave us Biereth for a few months, gave the youngsters a decent amount of playing time, and not all his signings were busts (Sparrow, Seddon, Maswanhise, Gordon, Koutroumbis, for example). On the negative side, he never managed to sort out our basic lack of defending, struggled to find a plan B, struggled to find a goal scorer, and despite the many "internal reviews of the training regime" seemed to consistently crock our players on a regular basis. I wasn't sad to see him leave, as he was running out of ideas - but no need to rewrite history.
