  1. There was on game recently where many users couldn't even log in and commentary wasn't available until well into the second half, but generally it has not been a problem. Overall I have been happy with the service and been enjoying all the extra interviews, U-19/Bounce Game highlights etc. Plus the commentaries are excellent when you're an ex-pat. Also like the fact that the goals are posted before they make it to the Beeb's web site. Definitely been worth it for me so far, and the live game streaming is going to make it unbeatable value.
  2. Muirton Park is my guess (or maybe Tannadice).
  3. We'll either get a point from a tight game or lose by 4 (or maybe lose by 1). Or squeak a jammy win.. Think that covers it.
  4. Enough of that. It's 11 against 11, not 30kg vs 100 kg.
  5. Of course not. But from your regular predictions, you don't seem to think we are a match for anyone.
  6. A wee bit premature to be drinking Champagne, no?
  7. Hibs seem to able to do that to our defence. Maybe just our style of play, but guys like Riordan, Stokes, O'Connor, Griffiths etc. have been giving us a hard time for years.
  8. That's the first one that sprang to mind for me. And it was Bruuuuuuciieeeeeee
  9. That plus 'Soft Cell- Tainted Love' is all that's ever been needed at Fir Park.
  10. Centre Forward + Top Scorer = Attacking.
  11. You mean Murphy, Higdon, Ojamaa isn't an attacking look?
  12. I think the "big crowd, big letdown" is unfounded. Much like the "we always help teams end their winless streak" It's just that they tend to stick in fans' memories.

Aye, I'm sure everybody from Strathaven and Milngavie were scratching their heads over that one
  14. Since all the pitch problems were addressed, the only track record that counts is this season. As there haven't been any issue, it will be on.
  15. [counting chickens] Do we not want to beat Celtic so we can move above Rangers that day? [/counting chickens]
  16. I'd be happy with Carswell. If for some reason McCall doesn't fancy him, how about Ojamaa slotting into midfield and bringing in McHugh? Or is that just an idea I should forget about untial after the caffeine has kicked in?

I don't think there is anything worrying about it all for a club in our position. We had zero money in the budget, so took a guy on trial who said he was more interested in playing than getting a 'big' wage. From what McCall said, he looked decent during his trials, but there were still some concerns - in particular, he didn't manage to score one goal in all his games. Also remember this guy had bounced around a few teams without making a breakthrough. However, we could get him cheap, so we signed him on peanuts until the end of the season to see how he worked out. Once he got his chance in the first team and proved himself, the board made an exception and allowed McCall extra money to tie him up. I would argue, therefore, we took a low risk approach that has paid dividends. Of course, every manager has stories about players that passed them by. I read this morning that Fergie missed out on Joe Hart for 100 grand.

    A Wee Song...

It will happen 2 days, no? Then we join the Europa Cup boys
  19. A good manager will have the team 100% focused on the next game (and only the next game). So from that perspective, the players shouldn't be worry about 2nd or 3rd place. It's all very Zen. The manager on the other hand should be ensuring he maximises the points we win from every game and let the final position take care of itself. I think it was different last season, as we didn't have much to play for after the split, so McCall was resting players for the Cup Final. I didn't agree with that approach, but at least he had a plan. With so much at stake this season, I can't imagine a repeat of that even if we do get to another final.
  20. Hibs, like St. Mirren, are a team whose tactics often match up well against ours, regardless of their struggles in other matches. I still think we'll win, but it might not be as easy as yesterday's victory.
