Aye, it's inconceivable on a football forum that folk should know anything about art. Let's get back to our deep fried Mars bar discussions before the fleece wearers take over.
I didn't say last time.
1978 Scottish Cup: Motherwell 1 - 3 Queen's Park
1979: League Cup (first leg) Motherwell 1 - Queen's Park 4. We won the second leg, but not by enough gaols.
Both performances were are bad as they sound (esp. the 4 - 1 doing).
Have you ever driven on the M74? Some people drive faster than 70 mph at certain times. In fact, if you drive on any motorway you will always see people exceeding the speed limit for the entire duration.
So presumably that means it's not prohibited.
I'm not a lawyer, but my vote is for 'Less'.
It's was a crappy way to be treated, but I don't see anything illegal about it. My biggest complaint in these situations is that the police generally seem to be trying to adopt a common sense approach (like with the guys that couldn't get in to Tannadice), but the club stewards refuse to work with them.
Don't know if it's still the case, but I think Boyle used to say he budgeted each year for finishing 10th (or 9th ?) and getting to the quarters in the cups.
Exactly right.
If I had to bet, I'd say in the long run it wouldn't make much difference. The people that normally can't make Saturday would be offset by the people that can't make Friday night.
I'm all in favour of cutting prices and free tickets though, even if it does screw up the stats.
Standing isn't a crime, but it is against the league rules. So while you can't be arrested for it, it can get the club into trouble with the football authorities. I read the regulations of the English Football Licensing Authority last night (which I believe are similar to ours). They state that if a club doesn't attempt to keep fans from standing, they reserve the right to withdraw their licence.
Good points. I remember saying after the Dunfermline game that his goals were great examples of Centre Forward strikes. The first was was beautifully passed into the corner, and the second was a simple tap-in thanks to being in exactly the right place for the cross.
For the people that prefer Clarkson, Jutkiewicz etc. over Higdon, the career league stats are:
Jutkiewicz: 0.22 goals per game
Clarskon: 0.21 goals per game
Blackman: 0.23 goals per game
Higdon: 0.22 goals per game
By comparison, Arnott was 0.24 goals per game.
All of these pale in comparison to Mr. Tommy Coyne with 0.40 goals per game
Reading some of the Aberdeen forums, they predicted exactly what Broon was going to say in his post-match comments. Needless to say, they weren't too impressed.
His name is Joe Wark,
He's the King of the West,
He plays at Fir Park,
And is one of the best,
He'll drink all your whisky and Newcastle Brown,
The Motherwell Boys are in town
Altogether now.....
Na na na.......
From the odd highlights I have seen on Motherwell TV, Forbes has seems to have been playing well. The 60 yard pass he put in for the goal was a stonker.
