  1. You're assuming that he was going to do a straight swap, but that's not how it works when you lose 7 or 8 first team players. Under those circumstances you need to rebuild and adjust to the styes of the new players. Stuperavic is, apparently, a number 10 and was one of the signings intended to add to our creativity. If you cast your mind back to when Spittal joined the club, he was roundly slagged off by a large number of fans as being useless. He obviously wasn't, but he became the player he was partly through coaching. Any replacement is going to go through the same coaching process. Fans tend to forget that one of the key jobs of the coaching staff is to develop players.
  2. I wouldn't be surprised about Jack only training with us. I imagine he'll receive better offers than any we're likely to make.
  3. Turnbull was in the stand too, apparently. Would be quite the coup to bring him back as well!
  4. Clean sheet every competitive home fixture so far this season - not something I expected to see
  5. I see Theo started for Auxerre today in their first game of the season. He didn't score, but they won 2 -1.
  6. St. Mirren, Hearts, Ross County and Hibs would have settled for this.
  7. That was a lot of effort for Celtic away in the next round. Take you pick...
  8. That is true given our current circumstances.
  9. My point is he should be "the forwards" (or one of) and our midfielders should be linking with him. His main job should be receiving the ball inside the box and scoring goals.
  10. For me, if Watt's starting, he needs to be up top. I'm not a fan of putting strikers in "advanced midfield" positions.
  11. I was only joking, of course. However, there are many intelligent and football savvy people I know who would never post on social media, so I would personally never factor that in to a voting decision. There are lots of business that fail because the founders are passionate, intelligent and have a great product - but lack the skills to execute.
  12. Isn't ignoring a person's qualifications and choosing to vote for someone who is vocal on social media how Trump managed to become President ?

    POD Stand

If you take advantage of one of the hospitality packages that includes a ticket in the POD it's a great day out, even if (when) the result goes against us.
  14. Shame, as @texanwellfan already voted for him as MOTM.
  15. Don't know if you're going senile, but the stats show you submitted a vote for the keeper 18 hours ago.
  16. Or not fit yet and was only on the bench as emergency cover.
  17. One scenario is where we score more goals than them. At this stage it's difficult to tell how good they are, but I expected to see more from them against Celtic. Like every season since the early League Cup groups began, you don't get an idea of how good or bad teams are until a few weeks after the window closes (i.e. around mid-September).
  18. Did the loss of Apostolos Costusaloss? Take your pick...
  19. There's a difference between "not injured" and "fit" It's the recovery in between that determines when you're ready for a start. Nice construction of a post though, finding something to rage about, but only if certain conditions that you are 100% speculating about are true.
  20. Yes. I often skip the match threads after a poor performance or defeat as I don't need to read any more "SK/Paton/Slattery/Davor/Casey/SOD is shite” posts. Likewise, it's easy to not watch Sportscene (or fast forward through our match) and don't bother reading the match reports in the media. By Wednesday, all focus will be on the Killie game.
