  1. I'd like about 100 million so I knew that losing my investment would be insignificant. 20 million. 10 million directly to the club and 10 million invested in a diverse portfolio that the club could draw on an as-needed basis (where 'as-needed' would be at my, as Chairman's, discretion). Not sure what you mean with this question If I won 166 mil, I'd maybe up my investment to 40 million or so and make the running of the club my full time job. I'd like to see Fir Park repaired rather than a move to a new ground. Investment in year-round training facilities. Look to sign players on 3 year contracts with, maybe, an increase in salary structure to bring in a few higher quality players (but nothing crazy). Continue to develop the youth teams' infrastructure. Continue to invest in local community programmes.
  2. 9000 seats is fine, but we'll need terracing for another 6000 or so for when we finally get the rules changed back As for the pitch, laying a new one won't guarantee that it holds up to the weather in winter. Remember Fir Park used to be like a bowling green until we built the new stands.
  3. No idea, but this article from April suggests that Spurs are at least open to the idea of letting him sign for another club. EDIT: fixed link
  4. That's 2 of us in the "No to summer football" camp then. 16 teams, play each other twice, winter break. Easy.
  5. But "Summer Football ™" is the cure for all ills in the SPL and guaranteed to fill each ground to the brim every weekend. No?
  6. When I was I student, there weren't any concessions for us on the season tickets, so some of the proceeds from my summer job had to be used. I understand the argument about today's prices not being value for money, but don't see what the club can do to plug the gap between concessions and full price.

    Faddy

The guy's only 28. If he can stay clear of injury there's plenty of football left in him yet at the Championship or even EPL level.

    Davie Hay

Not quite. He was a decent guy who got offered a better job (or what seemed like one). Didn't tell everyone he wanted a new job the day after he joined, and didn't tell anyone he was staying just before he left. Tam Cowan did a great interview with him a few years ago.
  9. Magic. The first "you can't comment because you live in the US" post of the 2011/12 season.
  10. Nah, I didn't say he was shit. He's obviously a gifted player that I enjoyed watching (although you could argue whether or not he made the most of that gift during his years at Everton in particular). I'm just saying I'd enjoy watch a new Faddy exploding onto the scene more than watching the old Faddy.
  11. I know I'm in a significant minority with this opinion, but I don't want Faddy back. Much rather be developing the next generation.
  12. Maybe set up a franchise team in Airdrie?
  13. Gow could pass a ball (at least someimtes) - which immediately rules him out of the running.
  14. Only if he was responsible for the script.
  15. Not in a legal sense, which is the entire context of this discussion. Which also goes to prove my point i.e. it's context that is important.
  16. Pure guess, but my money would be on: Nicky Law signs Jennings give a nothing interview about how he wants to stay at the club but is still weighing up his options before he decides his future. You read it here first. Don't waste your pennies on the Express.
  17. So what is the difference between claret and burgundy? I don't notice that much when I'm drinking them.
  18. Wiki (for what its worth) says that he consistently topped the list of assists in League Two - so maybe the playmaker we are looking for. Or not. Who knows with Wiki? In fact, I'm going to stop writing now and get back to my coffee.
  19. You can't exactly define what is 'sectarian' - that is up to the courts to assess in each individual case. It's all about context.
  20. They are indeed. However, paying to watch training isn't the most enticing offer. It's only a game if the sides are competing. Otherwise its just a workout. Closed door games?
  21. Seems to be loved or hated in equal measure. I'm afraid I'm in the 'hate' camp, but then again, I was in the minority in loving the old 'yellow' Adidas one from the early 80s.
  22. I predict we won't make it through the first week of the season before someone says we are a) punching above our weight or b) riding the Motherwell roller coaster Far too early to make a prediction on the season when we are so far away from the transfer window closing. 10th or better will be just fine, but lets see how the squads line up first.
  23. you *can* get can five years in jail. On the other hand a judge might give you a slap on the wrist and a few hours community service. you *can* get a fine. On the other hand a judge might give you 5 years in jail. See? The maximum sentences set out are just that; maximum sentences. That's why we have judges in place who take all the factors into account before making a decision on the appropriate punishment for each case. On the plus side, it does give amateur, on-line contrarians (and Daily Mail readers) the opportunity to make specious arguments.
