  1. Although it predates the '86 World Cup, the Mexicans still claim it originated in Monterrey, Mexico during a domestic match.
  2. John Boyle started singing "You'll never walk alone" after his 3rd trip to see Carousel in the West End. Months before the Scousers nicked it.
  3. Maybe they have a new table the physio needs to test out.
  4. McGhee was the opposite of Broon in as much as he couldn't stop talking about taking other jobs. A pathological truther.
  5. Which was pretty impressive given that, as I recall, he was economical with the truth about his 'holiday' to Australia.
  6. On the plus side, he's the only striker in the SPL that Craigan can match for speed.
  7. McGhee on pure football and results. Butcher for keeping the club alive under trying circumstances Gannon for assembling a squad that I doubt any other Motherwell manager could have put together.
  8. To be fair, by that stage he'd realised Blackman was mince and wanted to get one over on Broon by bigging him up.
  9. Ach, that's why '91 was special. I was only 26, and even then I knew I might never see us win the cup again.
  10. That's what I was thinking. Was El Grew not so worried about the same thing during Gannon's pre-season that he joined a snooker club so he'd have something to do on a Saturday afternoon? When Jennings came in to replace (who was it? can barely remember now) hardly anyone had heard of him. If he goes, no doubt his replacement will be equally unknown (and cause as much consternation when he, in turn decides to move on).
  11. What's the problem with buying them online this year?
  12. Agree with that Al. From what I have seen, Gunning has shown good potential for a guy his age. Be happy to bring him on board and expose him the the Motherwell Youth Development method (not quite the Total Football of Ajax, but not too bad).
  13. It doesn't matter who Hearts have playing up front - over the course of 3 or 4 games it's pretty likely their strikers will score against us. Whether it's Sutton or anyone else is irrelevant. I never quite understood why people are so worried about ex-players scoring. Plus, if Craigan is still playing for us he will finally be able to match a striker for speed
  14. There's some on here will tell you he did finish his career at Motherwell - about 2 seasons ago
  15. Aye, but my point is that is a fan's prespective. Sutton is part of the footballing profession and, as an Englishman plying his trade in the SPL, doesn't share the same history with Hearts as the 'Well supporters do. It's just another (much better paying) job for him with, no doubt, a few guys he is already friendly with.
  16. Aye, but your a fan, not a professional player. They have a different perspective on things.
  17. "I'm sorry we can't return your paintings, but there is a prize for all those that we show"
  18. According to Soccerbase, in all competitions: Played 115, Scored 43 In the League, Wiki has: Played 98, Scored 32 Or were you not talking about Sutton Bit distracted here trying to do some actual work
  19. If I take your car tonight without your permission - even if I guarantee to bring it back next month - it's still theft.
  20. Mr. F. Calf Esq. normally posts on here when he is looking for contributions. Keep an eye out next season and I'm sure you will get the opportunity.
  21. First dibs on Casagolda's kit - one careful owner, pristine condition.
  22. Agreed. No hard feelings from me if he decides to move on. But if he goes to Hearts I wish him similar success to Blackman at Aberdeen
  23. Nice one. So if you steal something when you're drunk, it's not theft - a whole new line of defence for jaikies has just opened up.
  24. I could believe the offer has been made, but I'd be surprised if it's been accepted this early. If I was Sutton, I'd be waiting until a few days before transfer deadline to see what offers are on the table.

    It Needs To Stop

Of course there's a problem - you'd be mad to think that in a group of a few thousand fans from the West of Scotland that there aren't some sectarian sentiments. I know of some personally. Obviously, it is different to the OF, who built their existence on it, but it is there. Kick them out of the ground - whether they are OF fans, 'Well fans or any other fans. Time to drag ourselves into the 21st century.
