I like big Sutts, but I think Murphy's return to form and the addition of Jeffers have played a big part in his recent goal-scoring exploits. If we can hold on to those 2 guys, I think we can manage without him. I certainly wouldn't grudge him a money move at this stage of his career, but there's always the risk you end up warming the bench - especially at the OF.

There's a guy on telly over here who basically has his own TV station. Harold Camping is his name, and he is one of those weird religious guys who has 'decoded' the bible to identify when the world will end. He is predicting that 'The Rapture' will take place on May 21st 2011. If it was a one off, then that might be true. However, every week before every game he posts the same negative views on how Celtic, Rangers, Brechin, Dundee or whoever will gub us. I doubt he believes most of it himself, but his lack of enthusiasm for any Motherwell game has turned into self-parody and deserves to be mocked.

With cup revenues being pooled, I doubt the club would be allowed to do anything like that with ticket sales.

You answered your own question - Motherwell tries to run financially as a break-even club. Gate revenues and season tickets make up a substantial amount of our turnover. I'm sure if we received the millions that Bolton do in Sky money we could cut the fans a better deal.

Agree the law needs to be changed as it doesn't differentiate between a 'professional foul' and an honest attempt at a tackle. The straight red, I thought, was supposed to punish the former, but the refs don't have any discretion when it comes to the latter.
