Remember what happened the last time we started getting ahead of ourselves in a cup draw

McGhee obviously has an overall plan for the way he wants us to play. So even if he brings in a player with potential, there is still a lot of work required to fit him into the system. He made that clear in is radio interview again last night where he mentioned that he told Jim "if the guy that coached you when your were 9 years old saw you today, he'd see exactly the same player" (or words to that effect). It seems, however, that he is now taking on board what is required to play in the MM system, and it's starting to pay off.

We stuck Foran in a midfield(ish) type role for a while.
-
If it's anything like the pre-contract he 'signed' with Forest it is media speculation, and nothing more.
-
If he did go to Hearts, the money would have to be in the bank (and cleared) before we let him go. No idea why he would go there when he can find a better deal down south, mind you.I really can't see why Porter would be a target for Hearts, I mean he is British!!As for Porter himself, I htink he would go there in a heartbeat despite the madness at the club, would take 300K in January but not a penny less.

It doesn't matter who is to blame. Hearts agreed to pay Arbroath on Aug 1 last year. They still haven't payed. They have also deferred payment on players win bonuses. Why would they need to do that?
-
If that was true, then you wouldn't have agreed to pay Arbroath anything; and yet you are paying them on Jan 9th (allegedly). Why would you do that?Arbroath were only entitled to money if webster was sold. Incase you don't know webster left in the 3rd year of a 4 year deal therfore Hearts never recieved a fee. It's all crazy behind the scene's stuff, if anybody is due money it shouldf be webster. -
Even if a transfer fee was involved, we wouldn't see any money from Vlad.
-
Don't ask me, ask the players that are still waiting on their win bonuses from last year. Or have a word with Arbroath. When you are stiffing a wee team out of 14 grand, you know are in financial trouble. Why would he not be paid? -
Except he has this irrational need to be paid.Hearts are a bigger and better club than Motherwell. If Hearts were to make an acceptable bid he would be very interested in a move to Edinburgh. -
Keeping Boab quite will be easy, as he'll be on the bench...
I fancy a 2-1 win for with a deflected shot from Clarky in the last 5 mins winning the game - just after Hearts have a stonewall penalty claim denied
-
I can't imagine any player who likes receiving wages every month would go anywhere near the Jambos.
I'm sure Porter will move on, but to a Championship or lower EPL club.
-
It's nothing to do with the club. The agents go running to the papers with half-baked stories to try and start a bidding war. The higher the price, the more the agents get in their 15% cut.
-
It's obvious I'm no Malcolm fan, and I'd be happy to see him move on during the window. From McGhee's past comments, he obviously wanted him to play in the midfield and has been disappointed in the lack of fitness which has prevented from playing that role more often.
I'd be much happier keeping Reynolds for that role and freeing up Fat Boab's salary for other options.

According to football-lineups.com, Engedal is 1.83m i.e. almost exactly 6ft.

For all LDCs efforts, the football club is in major financial trouble. They could be out of business very soon.
-
They allegedly have both undersoil and a cover system.
-
Aye, here is his first name if a mod wants to cut and paste it.
Maroš

Thought it would end up a draw. That's an okay result considering both team's form the last few weeks.
-
He has to stay on the pitch to do that.Or setting up chances on a plate for Porter to score (or usually miss) -
Quinn is an idiot and a liability. If he's not getting sent off giving away needless pens, he's trying to get sent of by elbowing players.

St. Mirren will be flying for the first 20 or 30 mins. If we can keep it tight and quieten down the crowd we have a chance. (Sorry, was that too many football manager clichés?)
