  1. Everybody knows by now that if you stand up you run the risk of getting lifted. I was always against the all-seated stadia and no-standing regulations, and would welcome back a section of terracing. However, I also know that until that happens, I stand at my own risk. I don't condone any heavy handed tactics by the stewards or the polis. If that happens a formal complaint should be made to the club and the authorities. It seems like every other week, however, that people are posting how surprised they are someone got chucked out for standing. If you want to try and change things, there are more constructive (and likely more successful) ways to tackle it.
  2. Did you think about reporting what you saw?
  3. No idea what you mean there *cough* Calum Elliot *cough*
  4. Stop the game and wait for everybody to sit back down.

    Signing #6

Not only that, but he says he was gutted about being taken off as he really wanted to take one of the pens. That sounds like a pretty positive attitude to me
  6. Only because I think last season is a better indicator, the season before is less so and prior to that becomes statistically insignificant for all practical purposes. Of course. That's why I said "circumstances are different" I do believe, though, that it will be a hard game thanks mainly to Riordan and Stokes (who seems to have found his scoring boots again, unfortunately).

The number of shots on target was encouraging too.
  8. Is that you agreeing or disagreeing? (Sorry for resorting to facts there, to back up my point of view, btw )
  9. 2007 - 2008: Falkirk 1 - 0 Motherwell Motherwell 0 - 3 Falkirk Falkirk 0 - 0 Motherwell 2008 - 2009: Motherwell 3 - 2 Falkirk Falkirk 1 - 0 Motherwell Motherwell 1 - 1 Falkirk Falkirk 2 - 1 Motherwell So in the last 2 seasons we have collected a grand total of 5 points from a possible 21 against a team managed by John Hughes. Different circumstances this time, of course, but we don't have a stellar record here.

I don't think there is much bitterness about Foran. Some of just think he was a bit overrated. Take away his penalties and he wasn't exactly a prolific scorer. An average player in an average team. Getting 150k for him was a cracking piece of business.
  11. To be fair, in the past few seasons the Hibees fans have generally given us credit when we are on-form. After their result tonight, however, I expect they will be even more motivated to put in a good performance and I expect them to give us a tough game.

Need to step it up again. I don't want penalties.

10 shots on target tonight according to the Beeb. That's an improvement (although not as important as winning, of course).

Dundee beating Aberdeen wouldn't be as big a story as QoS beating Rangers - those two have a history as you will recall when QoS came back from 2 - 0 down in the 2008 final. As a spectacle, Motherwell v ICT hasn't typically served up much for the neutral to enjoy in the past few seasons. Of course, it might be different tonight, and I'm the first one to moan about the saturated coverage the OF receives, but I'd rather watch QoS beat Rangers than Dundee lose to Aberdeen

Presumably because, like most manufacturing processes, it's cheaper and easier to make both together than separately.

I think, to be fair, QoS v Rangers is probably the tie of the round. QoS have a shout in that one. I think we will come out 2 - 0 winners in this one.
  19. It's all very well suspending the refs, but is there sufficient quality waiting in the wings to replace them? If not, then that's compounding the problem.
  20. Are you sure you never had a problem with him joining? I thought I remembered a few, less than happy, comments at the time Just saying, like
  21. Is our deal with Ruddy not something along the lines of a loan with the option to buy?
  22. Is Porter still out injured? I haven't seen him mentioned for a while.
  23. If we had Porter, though, I think JG might be more inclined to go 4-4-2 (or 4-4-1-1 or 3-1-4-2 or whatever )
  24. If we had the choice, I'd have Porter back. He was a natural finisher - moreso than Clarky, I think. Although Clarky contributed more with his work rate.
