  1. A "genuine rumour" So if I tell you that Scott Brown is going to be transferred to Inverness in the summer, will you post that on the Celtic boards as being a "genuine rumour" too? After all, it's something you just heard.
  2. Terry Butcher is a 'Well fan I hear. Does he count as famous?
  3. Let's worry about St. Mirren first, eh?
  4. Crags mentioned that after the game on Saturday the players said that, if they progress in the Cup, they would prefer "anything away from home, because the pitch should be a lot better...". He also said "we're trying to play good football. Unfortunately that's not going to happen at Fir Park". How about some communication as to the status of making our pitch "the best playing surface in the SPL"? I know it's a topic that comes up on a weekly basis, but when the team captain is making comments like that on national television (and rightly so) isn't it about time we received some sort of comment from the club?
  5. Or maybe they need to have a word with their bank manager. There is an economic crisis going on right now, and not everybody has money to fritter away on football matches.
  6. Paul Mills scoring the last minute winner against Dunfermline at East End Park (when we were down to 10 men).
  7. Forget 'Go West'. What happened to 'Tainted Love'? That seemed to be played at every game, home and away, for about 15 years.
  8. Any comment from the boss about why he started that way? Or did he just over-analyse and outsmart himself like he does from time to time.
  9. So you admit that's what it said then? It's no my fault I read it at an inconvenient time for you. I don't have time to come back and check to see if people have welched edited their posts. See, you can edit anything to win an argument
  10. It was about winning "tomorrow". You can edit it all you like, but we all remember what it said. Welcher
  11. Hope Jay got a good deal on his panda suit.
  12. If the plan was to try and hold St. Mirren to a 0-0 at home, then McGhee needs to stay away from the Buckie.
  13. The Rangers game will be rescheduled.
  14. But that's my point. Every club involved in the SPL knows exactly what is going on and willingly accepts it. If you enter the agreement in full knowledge of the situation, there is no "stitch-up".
  15. It's not exactly a stitch-up though. It's the entire basis of the SPL which all the member clubs are happy to entertain.
  16. I was at that game, and he did. However, in his defence, it wasn't particularly dirty. Him and Stevie Kirk had a wee stramash with Kirky headbutting him as I recall. Kirky walked straight off, but Abercrombie didn't want to leave the field. So the ref sent him off again. And again. We didn't realise he had been given 3 red cards until after the match. He was banned for about 14 weeks after that.
  17. If you're on loan, you have to be smart and suck up to your current employer and suck up to the team who has you on loan. Sounds like he his doing just that. Did you feel the same way about Lappin when he talked about going back to Norwich?
  18. When Ferguson was in charge, St. Mirren were a nasty, niggly, dirty wee side.
  19. It's John Sutton, dammit!!!
  20. I remember the first half was dire. So dire, when we got home and watched the highlights they actually started the game from the second-half kick off.
  21. As far as I can see there have been 2 official responses. The one DC'd received from Leanne Dempster, and one that 'Flow (as a club employee authorised to post on here) has given. Whether you think they were adequate is up to you, but I don't know what more you are looking for.
  22. The club did respond further up the page.
  23. And there is a good answer to people who ask "Why don't we rush out and sign up player X on loan when everybody else is doing it?" It's not just about the player, it's about whether they can play in our system.
