It's not a positive though, is it? It's saying the results we have achieved are better than we should expect from the talent we possess. The exact opposite of what McGhee is saying when he tells the press our first team is the best outside the OF. I understand that the Board wants to keep expectations realistic, but why not just say something like "We are enjoying a successful spell at the club and will continue to work within our means in an effort to maintain it".

This is from memory (which may well have failed me), but I thought when Tam Cowan was interviewing Crags the other week, he said that the club didn't operate a flat wage structure now and that some players did earn more than others. I could be wrong. I usually am.
  3. If the word from the AGM was that the balloon was over-drying the pitch, should we not be watering and rolling it instead of sanding it?
  4. Runners up in the Cup was fine when there was Cup-Winners Euro competition they could enter. However, consistency over the season should be rewarded with the UEFA places.
  5. Good point. Maybe, because we have been waiting so long to see a player of his style, we are over rating him slightly. While he is the perfect addition to our midfield, teams like Hearts that have an abundance of hard men, might not rate him so highly.
  6. Mabe we can start a thread here and on P&B about what a terrible signing he was. Get the Fitzy and Clarkson haters to kick it off - they know how to handle it.
  7. I think you're right. Sounds like his agent is looking to move him on.
  8. Wullie P, closely followed by Bobby Graham.
  9. If only there was a 'Well fan who wrote for the press; then you might be listened to. Some 'devine' intervention is called for.

Yes. The English and Scottish Leagues took the report and incorporated the findings into their regulations, but there is no legal requirement for all-seated stadia.

So nobody thought about standing up to attract his attention?
  12. On the 'fishul site, MM says he thinks Clarky is a bit tired at the moment so he is giving him a bit of a rest. Apparently he even sent him to Spain for a few days. So it looks like he will be on the bench for a game or two.

I didn't think we were allowed to stand. Maybe it was something to do with that Just listened to McGhee's interview on Radio Scotland. Seems like he was happier with the points than the performance. Excellent 3 points though and keeps us moving the right way through the chasing pack for 4th.
  14. Earlier in the season, Mcghee said 6 footers were too short. He wanted 6'4" or 6'5".
  15. Absolutely. It makes you wonder what we could have achieved if we didn't have half out first team out earlier in the season. To come back with the 9 game run and still have a shot at Europe is okay by me.

    Vs Hearts

Not usually too confident about Tynie, but I fancy we'll sneak a win this time around.
  17. Against Kilmarnock I think (although could be wrong). It was on the telly though.

I don't think Butcher would even sign Malcolm.

    United just missed a pen.

That would be a great job. Unfortunately, I don't really enjoy winding people up.
  21. You could have a 10 or 12 team league and play each other 3 times. However, when that was touted the clubs complained that meant having to play certain teams away from home twice in a season. Then they decided to have to split which causes exactly the same argument. If a team in 7th position is close enough to a Euro place, why shouldn't they be allowed to chase it down in the last third of the season? That's just stupid. Likewise, our early attempts to do anything of note in the top 6 were laughable. There was no chance of a Euro place, and the team were so disinterested we struggled to even win a game. That wasn't very exciting, either.

Bob Maclom was a yard off the pace at in central defence. You need even more speed and mobility to play at right back. Even big Richie would skin him for pace.

The guy is good at his job. Five pages posted so far in response to his rants. Exactly the kind of response he is looking for.
  24. It's just another good example as to why the split is the most useless idea in the history of the SPL.

Despite the colour scheme, I actually liked that Adidas shirt.
