  1. Well that’ll give Brown 3 jobs as well. Playing, managing and ref’ing
  2. What have you done with your C&A specs and unfounded optimism. Pull yourself together man!
  3. I’m just hoping they can take a few points of Celtic on Sunday
  4. Ok a long pass and I would hope most of our long balls should be passes anyway…. Or at least attempted passes
  5. If we are going to play long balls most of them should be like that or at the very least give our players a 60/40 chance of getting it. Too often our long balls give the opposing defense a better chance than our forwards.
  6. Gallagher was very good but ever since all that nonsense last season, I’m not sure that he has done anything to merit inclusion in the squad.
  7. Yes. I think this will be a game totally made for Grimshaw to play well. I can see us starting with the same line up as last week but with a few back up plans depending on how the game goes and how the individual players are performing edit: of course the trick is to make any changes before it costs us.
  8. Hopefully Hearts used up their goal allocation against Livingston at the weekend.
  9. Was hoping St Johnstone would have beat Hibs today but the celtic result was a good one for us.
  10. I think the manager may stick with the same starting line up. Might be the ideal game for Grimshaw to get stuck in and produce some quick defense to attack transition runs.
  11. Need all the players to step up for this one. Need all 11 on the park to play well. We have the means to take something from this game but can we? Don’t care it it’s a classic or not as long as we get something from it, preferably 3 points, especially seeing the 2 games on Sunday. COYW!!!
  12. Yes, a few below par today. Certainly makes a difference when you have all 11 players playing well. Probably at least 4 players not having a good day. So all in all a good day to pickup 3 points with below par performance.
  13. I think we might need another goal or two
  14. Really. When was last time seen a ref give the throw the other way for that
  15. Hope we do not get over confident and take it easy. We need to keep up the effort
  16. My memory of Andy Weir is him scoring the winning goal at Fir Park in a cup tie against stenhousemuir for a 3-2 victory. Reported in in the motherwell times as a banana shot.
  17. I’m only 65 but Charlie was playing when I first started going to games. Where as Joe Wark had rubber legs, Charlie’s super power was that he seemed to just hang in the air when he went up for a header. Both from the same mold though, gentlemen of the highest order, terrific talented players and model professionals. Perfect examples for any young budding player to follow.
