Definitely need to get a win in that first game to steady the ship. Whilst a defeat or a draw doesn’t condemn us to the play off spot it would erode confidence and press the panic button. I’m also hoping Hearts beat Dundee in that first round of fixtures. We have two weeks to get players healthy and prepare for this game. what’s that you say? “We don’t play well after a break”. I agree. I think some of the posts are a wee bit negative and I can understand that but I thought there was a bit more effort from the team but very little football and we need both.

Looked like we were just told to knock it forward but then we didn’t have players moving up to support or win second balls. Totally missed out the midfield today. we are still not playing as a team up and down the field.

With Saints in the lead Hearts may try to push forward and maybe leave gaps for us to exploit. I know! It’s hopeful!!! 😃 but then we need County to equalize if we can score.

As long as we get 3 points, I think it’s a good day for us. I’ll take a crappy lucky undeserved victory over a gallant defeat. I am, course, hoping for a top 6 place so that we can relax and not worry about play off/relegation.

That’s a decent shout but probably not going to happen. It definitely makes us look more mobile and a better selection to play a high pressing game with all 4 of those players up front capable of scoring.

Yep! I’m all for starting Maswanhise. If it’s the good one that turns up then we are good to go. If it’s the clumsy one then we can hook him at HT

Did they end up playing with 9 men? Defender seemed to injur himself landing but didn’t see any sub come on? I’m assuming had already used all subs

I think that’s the key. We go all out and sub when players start to get tired and don’t wait too long to sub.

I think we need to put Maswanhise up front with Armstrong and press higher up the field. Having said that I don’t know if hearts have any players with speed that could hurt us on the break or with balls over the top. of course Maswanhise is a gamble. We’d just have to hope we get the “good” Maswanhise

I’m still not sure what they seen to merit a red card, other than a superb piece of acting from the Killie player.

Regardless of whether we get top 6 or not it’s a huge game for us. Obviously top 6 takes all the pressure off but If we end up in bottom 6 then getting 3 points will go a long way to helping us stay out of the play off spot. So we need to go for it and leave it all out on the field.
