  1. great to see Erwin Moore Thomas all on the field at the same time. And Leitch on the way back so good group of young players coming along. I thought Erwin played great tonight, best game I've seen him have. Cut into the goal difference a good bit. Excellent night all round with only one exception.........We give the ball away needlessly too many times
  2. I use it every matchday I'm all for keeping it. Also good for asking for tips on other non related football items and genral banter. not many people around here to "banter" with about Motherwell FC
  3. I can recall 1 post advocating that sutton start on Friday. I think the majorty are recognizing the type of game it will be and suggestiong that Erwin starts. On the other hand I think we are expecting ( hoping? ) that we will be pressing forward against accies and that perhaps Sutton might be the better choice for starter in that game.
  4. Would be handy if we could merge both their good qualities into one player so we didn't have to choose!
  5. I think i would keep Erwin for this game for his mobility. I don't see us pressuring Aberdeen like we did Killie. I would hope against Accies we wil be pressuring and I can see Sutton being the one to start there.
  6. So how much are you betting on us to win then?
  7. Scary how old we are gettin ! I remember goin to reserve games and watchin Dixie Deans.
  8. I really believe that there are many punters on here who could have selected a better team for Saturdays game against Dundee and went with different tactics. Of course a purely hypothetical siuation but since we ended up with zero points anyone on here would not have done any worse. I am normally one to give people a chance but so far he has made decisions on the 3 items below and in my opinion has drastically failed in all 3 categories. it also seems he has been unable to instil lsome spirit into the team, admittedely probably much harder thah the 3 he's already failed on. I also think that if fans had seen some marked improvement on the field, that even if we were still in same position, they would be more willing to support him. Sometimes you have to just face up to situations and admit your mistakes. For the board, this may be one of those times. team selection, team tactics new signings.
  9. I think he has to take some of the blame but probably agree that most of it is down to the players.
  10. .............and so the english language continues to evolve...
  11. The fact that we are starting to see the youngsters like Erwin, Thomas, Watt, and Moore come into the team may be the one bright spot in this season from hell.
  12. Don't worry, I'll write them a cheque mate...........so they won't have to pawn anything
  13. Any bets on our new full back scoring an OG ?
  14. I wouldn't say I have singled Sutton out as being the main factor in our slump this year but I do admit to having been one of the guys suggestiong that he should be dropped in favour of Erwin. However, I would certainly not advocate getting rid of him. We know he can score goals and I am sure he will start to score moere again once we get things sorted. I think it wold be a mistake to punt him.
  15. Because, sadly, this year, that may be the best bet !
  16. I find myself more and more hoping that it is someone whose name we have not seen. I have not been very inspired by the names so far.
  17. I'd say next 5 games are up for grabs if we can string some half decent performances together.
  18. thought the flag went up fpr offside on that one ?
  19. im with you on that one. I havent seen a lot but from what little i have seen Reid and Ainsworth would be in my starting 11
  20. i think more than individual performances the pleasing thing for me was seeing some semblance of players beginning to link up better, running off the ball and a lot more creativity than the rest of the season so far. At last, a glimmer of hope!................however, Sutton still struggling but hopefully if the rest of the team start to play he will work his way out of the slump and back to the goal scorer he has proved he can be.
  21. Ojamaa for me after watching full game last night. Looking more and more like what we were expecting.
