Yep. Not too far fetched! Probably the most improbable thing for that scenario to happen is us winning 5 straight.
-
Agree! You are fit then you play. can't be any other way.
-
Even winning all 5 games does not gurantee that we will miss the play off spot. All we can do is take care of what is within our control and that is try to win each game one at a time. COYW!!!!!!!
-
Unfortunately that's who we need to see winning their games ( except against us of course ) unlikely that we will catch accies so they might as well beat some of the teams above us. unlikely that St Mirren wil catch us so hope they also beat teams above us.

isn't the same every year though?

Avoiding The Play Off's Is Still In Our Own Hands!

As we go into the post split it would be nice to get a hand from Accies and St Mirren. Most people feel that us winning 5 out of 5 is not going to happen so in effect we will not catch accies so lets hope they beat everyone above us. I doubt that St Mirren will catch us so hopefully they can string a few results together against the teams above us. As has been previously mentioned I think us playing county at fir park first game would be great ( as long as we win ) if we could beat them by 2 or 3 that would take care of a big chink of the goal difference since it would better ours and worsen theirs by the same amount. -

I think a team stays more settled when you just replace like for like. By playing sutton the manager is messing with the shape of the team that awas workign very well. But still I hope he proves me wrong -

With Johsnton missing I think i would have kept Sutton bench and just replaced Johnston with thomas -
I don't think it's meant to be fair. I am pretty sure it is meant to favour the team already in the top division so that it makes it harder for the lower division team to oust the premier league team. Regardng the other comment earlier "Its wrong they can overturn, in a few games, a season's worth of form." I don't believe it does that, your season's form either put you near the top of championship or the bottom of the premier so I think the play off between the divisions is fine. WRT to the playoffs within the championship, everyone knows at the start of the season what they are playing for.

Of course, any win will do but it would be good to see us win by 3 goals or more. That would give County a couple of days looking at themselves in 11th spot prior to playin St Mirren and hopeully mess with their minds. Also hoping for some sort of reaction from the St Mirren team to getting gubbed 5-0 by us. So 4 -1 for us and St Mirren 1 County 0 throw in Killie and accies getting beat and it will a superb few days COYW -

We have the worst away record in the league but I think we will win this one. We are, literally, a different team than we have been for most of the season so I think the only thing to judge us by is our current form which is pretty good. Thistle seem to be hot and cold so hoping that they blow cold on Saturday. COYW !!!!! -

I think we will have the psychological advantage as they were seemingly looking quite safe but now are in real danger of being favourites for that play off spot, considering how us and county have been playing. I think they will be a bundle of nerves. On the other hand we are growing in confidence with each game. COYW 4 in a row please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Just watched the highlights and some excellent stuff there. Lots of movement. You can see the players are confident again an dlook like they are enjoying the games again. I think that performance tonight is on completley different level than the one we put in against accies. I'm hoping that St Mirren are really pissed off and go beat County next Monday. Ohhhh and hurry the fk up and get Erwin on a longer contract. I think i would even be tempted to try and keep Ainsworth unless of course Baraclough has another Marvin like player lined up who can play wide right :-)

cheers orinocco

hope we can back lots more to make the goal difference better

anyone got a link for streaming?

We have a chance to go into the post split games where 4 teams could be battling to stay out of the play off spot. Partick play Celtic and us. Killie play celtic and Aberdeen so hopefully those two are getting " nil point" over the next 2 games. So post split could be starting from the placings below if we can keep it together. I'd be happy for ST Johnstone and St Mirren to take ppoints off County thogh. Accies 43 Killie 38 County 37 Partick 35 'well 34 St Mirren
-
I'm just hoping that we can win our next 2 and Ross county loose their next 2. So Partick wil be dragged into it, maybe even Killie but even then with 5 games to go after the split it is going to be nerve jangling stuff
-
I think the manager has a couple of positions to ponder over the next day or so. We have been doing well but seems like its only a matter of time before the goalie and left back positions cost us points. The probem beng that we don't have stick on better options. Does he stay with current options and hope they don't cost us or does he replace them and hope the replacements don't cost us. Tough decisions and I'm not sure what i would do if i was him.
-
Not sure why Dom Thomas would not slot in for Johnston. But with Johnston having been playing so well it's a good sign to pick up 3 points away at killie without him. You have to wonder how many errors will Long be allowed to make before reverting back to Dan? Seems like he is not any better at cross balls and posisbly not as good a shot stopper as Dan. will it make any difference which one is in? I'm not sure. Now that we are having a good spell and confidence is growing the players need to maintain the same intenisty til lthe end of the season. Every point will have to be fought for, we simply cannot afford to go into a game expecting to be given 3 points. St mirren fighting for their survival, Ross county on a great run, Killie and Thistle probably now seeing themselves getting drawn into play off spot if they dont pick up points. So every gane from now till end of season wil lbe a battle for survival for both teams.
-
Yep! the only thing we need to focus on right now is beating St Mirren. WOuld be great if we could repeat accies score but any score will do as long as it is a win. Although St Mirren may be bottom i am pretty sure it wil lnot be an easy game so lets hope the players continue to show up like they have been doing.

Money aside since i have no clue about fact or rumorurs, I owuld keep him. He is a goal scorer, and if pressing high up the field will be our plan A just recall all the whining on here about McCall not having a plan B. edit: plus he's handsome
-
While I agree with the comments regarding Erwin scoring I think everyone can relax and just wait for it to happen. I don't think it's anything to worry about or dwell on since he is playing well and the team are picking up points. Although though in saying that and inferring that it shouldnt negatively affect his confidence i think him actually getting a goal or two is going to be the icing on the cake and bosst his confidence no end. Actually think he may have got a little confidenc boost last night ( not sure if on purpose or not from IB ) As sutton stood on the sideline to come on the TV showe Erwin looking over, obviously expecting to see hi snumber held up but instead it was Skippy to come off. I think that will give him a little extra confidence. I thought last night was his best game yet.

will be watchin the scores tomorrow hoping Kille win at least 5 - 0 and victories for Caley and St Johnstone
