As expected, Post split fixtures won't be released until after Wednesday as SPFL "want to confirm final pre split top 6 league placings". They think our heads button up the back.

The only positional change that can happen would require Dundee to beat rangers by 5 or 6 goals. Aye!  we best wait and see. 😳

Dundee drawing made it all redundant anyway.
hibs and Aberdeen not making the top 6 is a disgrace with what they have forked out.

at least we have avoided relegation. I’m confident of that much.

Well, already clear of automatic relegation and hopefully clear of playoff spot after first post split game.

  3. Last week was just awesome. We sucked for 40 minutes. Then controlled the rest of the game. Conceding the second goal was a kick in the goolies but yet we still kept going. Bit of luck getting the penalty but then great effort to get another two goals.  However, I’m hoping we can win this game the way we disposed of Ross County at fir park although I’ll take any way that results in a win for super well. COYW!!!

  4. All we can do is focus on beating Hibs and just see how the other results pan out. Regardless of the other results, beating Hibs will be a big 3 points for us. Whether that gets us in top 6 or helps secure safety it would be a great 3 points for us.

They also appear to owe £6.3m to shareholders in what I presume are "soft loans"........

I think its fair to say the investor model doesnt come without a price tag.

Devil is always in the detail.

So they are approx. 12 million in the hole?? Where do they think they are getting the money to make that up???

Its kind of a reflection of where society is now.

    Too many want instant gratification.

For all the positives of social media, this is the huge negative.

Football has always been an emotional game, but back in the day you just vented your frustration at the match or disected the performance  over a pint with your mates afterwards in the pub.

Now everyone has the ability to publish those thoughts immediately and thats not necessarily a good thing.

Not a big fan of posting during a game as Im usually too engrossed in it to be bothered with my phone.

It is good to debate things before and after though, particularly for those of us who dont live in the local area and dont meet any other Motherwell fans on a day to day basis.

I usually have steelmen open and will comment during games. Since I’m sitting watching it by myself most times it’s as close as I get to being able to talk about moments in the game as they happen.

  7.  I saw 1.5 million quoted as the proposed investment over a few years but not sure if that’s correct. We need all the help we can get but that amount doesn’t get me too excited. I could probably run through 1.5 Million nae bother in 3 years by myself. Now 1.5 million a year is getting better but not sure it’s “life changing” for Motherwell FC but could be enough so that we don’t have to worry so much about falling out of existence. Whether it’s 1.5 million a year or over a few years, I don’t think that’s enough to warrant giving up controlling share. I understand it’s not just money but also the integrity and intentions of the investor. All things being equal and asssuming the integrity of the investor I’d be looking for much larger investment than 1.5 million to give up controlling interest.

Miller will be sold soon enough, and I don't see any BIG enough offers coming in for Bair yet. Much like Miller's extension, we should be offering Bair a one-year extension to protect our asset in the hope that he continues to improve next season and doesn't leave for bugger all at the end of season 2024/25.

Exactly, we should be trying to set up our possible “target” players so that we can at least get some sort of money when they leave. Surely we can come to some sort of agreement with them regarding contract extensions versus offers from other teams?  Would love to keep Gent and Vale but not sure what that would take and wouldn’t be surprised if they already have good offers lined up for next season already or under discussion.

  9. IMG_3562.thumb.png.a124d7be5fad474717b71274601da098.pngWe didn’t start playing till about 40 mins but much better second half.  Less said about their second goal the better, against the run of play and thought it was our undoing at that point. However, we get a bit of luck with VAR for a change and that fires us up. While there’s more than stats to a performance they do make good reading when backed up with a 3-2 win and would support the phrase “a well deserved win”.
