Not a free hit as such but definitely not expected to get any points should be a good test for us to see if we can maintain our Passing game under pressure and not regress back to hoof ball. We have to believe this is the way forward and persevere and improve. I think if we can be confident in our new identity we will reap the benefits. Playing one of the OF first should make it seem less frantic playing “lesser” opposition. If we can get a couple of new faces in the door to strengthen defense and attack this could be one of the more Enjoyable seasons in a while.

I saw the first hour and then the last few mins after it was already 1-1 but I was pleased to see us attacking at the end. Such a pleasant change to watch us trying to play football. Probably had more completed passed the past 5 games than we have the past 5 years.

This is a good friendly for us. The players having to execute our tactics against a much higher level of opposition. We’ve had some decent possession and for the most part we are trying to play a Passing game but we need more runs off the ball in attack and because we are having to play quicker some of the passing is going astray.

Not so clever on the ball tonight. Bit slow and some wayward passes.

I think AP is going to have a good season with us. If we have balls coming in the box from both sides I can see him grabbing a good amount of goals.
