  1. I hope we're looking at moving the likes of maguire and shields on,the thought of them picking up another year worth of wages is grim.i know we like to stick by players that have been out injured but there's no way we can go back to having mcginley and carroll as our left back options, ideally they both move on but I don't see it happening.sadly I think max will be gone but if we could keep casey and furlong that would be huge for us.

Watched highlights and I will cut Bevis slack for a ridiculous penalty decision. However for Utd 2nd goal he was terrible.  Great strike from Spittal and I wish folk would lay off him, his assists and goals are good, yes has bad games and makes mistakes but who doesn't.

For me I would love to see if we could get young Furlong back, has improved with each game and looks a cracking prospect.  On negative side I fear it could be last we see of KVV and Max and also WON'T be last we see of Mandron. I just don't rate the guy at all.

All in all it's been a great turnaround since SK came in. Be interesting summer ahead and what he does and does he stick with that formation or bring in new ideas.  COYW

Aye I think max will definitely be away sadly and I think the odds on van veen being here next season are very slim.if both do leave hopefully the money we receive will ensure we can find the right replacements.like you grizzly I would love to see furlong again next season,he started off shaky but has grown into an important player for us,seeing two young full backs on either side getting forward and putting balls into the box and be a goal threat has been really enjoyable to watch, hopefully that's plan for next season whoever is playing.agreed again about mandron, they guy is average at best, there's no way we can keep him and obika on next season.

Once we got our act together after untd"s 2nd goal the result was never in doubt, we battered them, just a couple of observations,  Mugabi is a feckin bomb scare and Mandron is utter pish, 2 free headers he had from a yard and then 18 inches out and fecked both of them up I hope he gets punted over the summer.

Spot on,the budget for next season is likely to be the lowest it's been for years,we can't be handing out contracts to those two, there brutal, mandron at times looks like he's never seen a ball before and mugabi can't be trusted not to make an arse of it.

  4. The game went as expected, there's zero entertainment value to be had playing professional football on a shocker of a plastic pitch.its disappointing we didn't hang on for the win but coming away with any result playing on that surface isn't a bad thing.we really need to sort ourselves out though when it comes to playing against 10 men,it's beyond a joke and definitely isn't a coincidence.

Im slightly concerned that SK thinks Mandron is someone to keep around. He speaks very highly of both Mandron and Obika.  Both big physical boys who work hard but neither will bring in lots of goals.

Be interesting to see what transpires over the closed season.

I don't particularly rate either but I get our budget will mean that we will most likely keep one of them on for next season,we definitely don't need both though.

I actually think the formation that Kettlewell has been using suits O'Donnell's strengths so good news if so and must mean Johnston is definitely off.

I agree with that,I think o'donnell is better suited to playing the wing back role in a 352 rather than in a 4 at the back.i think part of the problem under the previous managers, mainly alexander was that they didn't want the full backs going past the halfway line but we should get more out of o'donnell if he's allowed to get forward and in the current setup that will happen, saturday being the casing point when he was in the box to win our penalty on saturday.

Read a couple of rumours online that KVV off to Aberdeen. That would be a major disappointment. I don't like players going to other Scottish clubs to come back and damage us.

Im sure it was tam cowan that started any talk of KVV to Aberdeen,I'm sure it was more who aberdeen should look at if they sell either duk or miovski rather than a concrete link.you can be sure there will be a number of clubs looking at him and hoping they can pinch him off us for next to nothing.

  8. From where I was sitting yesterday,I didn't quite see just how good Kev's touch was for his goal but having seen the highlights it was a thing of beauty, there was nothing budget about that,it was a goal begkamp himself would have been proud of.its been some turn around from us since kettlewell came in,hopefully the planning for next season is now well underway now we know which league we will be in.

Yep, KVV getting a lot of the plaudits and rightly so but for me signing Butcher has been just as important, if it was Hammell that spotted him he deserves credit....same applies to Casey

Agreed, both butcher and casey have definitely played a big part in our upturn in form, getting casey tied up would be one of the best bits of buisiness we could do going into next season, hopefully kettlewell can find two attacking fullbacks as it's been refreshing watching johnstone and furlong getting forward and causing problems for the opposition.

Be great if we could beat Killie as I reckon we only need 1 win and we will be safe. It would put us 9 clear of them with 4 games left. Even a draw against them would be ok due to our goal difference counting as an extra point

I agree with that,I think we will only need the one win and we should go all out in this game to get it,it will be tough as the last game showed being 2-0 up and only getting a point against them but we're in a better place now and with van veen in red hot form we should be looking to win this.

  11. There both self entitled, delusional bigots that take turns playing the victim, whoever first coined the phrase two cheeks of the same arse was bang on.the best bit is that they would happily hold hands and skip into the sunset together to get away from scottish football, they need each other as there only relevant in the warped world they live in.

Tom Boyd is one I can not take to at all

Actually bumped into him in Bothwell one morning and said Hi Tom , he just blanked me like someone who thought he was better than anyone else

Great captain in 91 etc , but does not ever have a positive thing to say about his old club either

Totally agree, for someone that started there career with us then won the scottish cup as captain you would think he would show the club more respect, his antics before the 2011 final were a disgrace, lapping up the attention from the celtic end then soon as he got to ours he was kissing the celtic badge on the scarf round his neck, supposedly he was a drunken bam to some of our fans in hospitality that day as well.

I remember a cup win in about 1975, I'd have to go searching for an exact date. We were 0 - 2 down at half time and won 3 - 2, Pettigrew scored twice, can't remember who scored the other, Vic Davidson possibly. That was a great day, greater team.

Skippy Sunday could have been better if he had squared the ball to Gerry Britton, I would have loved to have seen the look on his face if he had a tap in against his beloved Celtic. (I suspect it would have hit the corner flag though)

I'm sure I read an interview with britton where he said he was praying that skippy didn't square the ball to him as he would have had to miss if it came to him,you see him when the goal goes in and he's trudging back to the half way line with his head down while everyone else is celebrating.

  14. I'm sure we have all seen games like today many a time but it's still disappointing to lose.were in a far better position than I thought we would be a few weeks ago so I'm not going to go over the top with a defeat.i think we're safe but it will be good when it's for definite and we can put this season fully behind us.

Butcher and Casey have turned our season around IMO ..both have been immense for Ketts ..

I totally agree with that, both have been brilliant and have played a big part in our upturn in form.there was no two ways about it,we needed to strengthen the defence in january and thankfully we managed it.getting casey tied up on a longer term deal would be massive for us.fair play to furlong also, who has looked really good the past few games after struggling when he first came.

  16. Clarke has made a right cunt of the goalkeeping situation,Gordon was number one and rightly so but given his age there should have been some forward thinking about who is going to be number one in the long term,to not have giving the likes of Kelly and Clarke any game time is poor management and we're now most likely relying on a player that in the past has said he has no intention of being capped for Scotland.

  17. I've nothing against shields,he always tried his best but just isn't good enough,I hope he does really well between now and the end of the season for himself and also the better he does the chances are someone will take him off our hands in the summer.we are most likely in for a squad overall in the summer and we don't need someone coming back that has struggled already,it will suit both sides to part ways.

How half empty is your glass ? We were by far the more threatening team in the second half, even on that abomanation of a pitch. Draw was the least we deserved.

Spot on,you can never judge any performance on that god awful pitch, you would get more of an even bounce of the ball playing on a carpark.a point away from home on that surface,I'll take that everytime.
