Will We Qualify For The Next Stage Of The League Cup
real dosser replied to middleeastdave's topic in Club Chat
Think we will be lucky to get 15000 at the game. The great unwashed are notorious for not putting their hands in their pockets if the game isn't included in the season ticket price. They will also be shelling out for the game against Astana and further CL games if they get through. -
Tait to me looks like the right back we have been looking for. He knows the job he has to do and does it without any fuss. Cadden continues to impress but Skippy today looked to me like he had been forced to play while carrying an injury, He was off the pace all game and his only contribution was to head the ball into the net for his goal. Anyway roll on the draw for the next round.

Tait for me with Cadden, Heneghan and Johnston not far behind.

Celtic need to win this game. If Aberdeen beat Hearts on Friday and we beat them on Saturday they are only 1 point in front with a game against Aberdeen still to come after the split Not that I want Aberdeen to win the league but you can take it for granted Celtic will be up for the game at Fir Park

Chick "bluenose" Young was ranting on about the state of the pitch before the game on Saturday. Reckon he wasn't at Firhill last week then. Of course it was Chico at his best as far as MFC goes. He will never forgive us for winning 6-1 in the playoff against his beloved St Mirren ( oops my mistake)

McLean did book the Hearts player for the McDonald tackle in the Run up to Marvins goal. I'm sure he showed him a yellow card as the players were making their way back to the centre of the park. And Juanma should have been booked for lashing the ball away after the final whistle.

Grimshaw for me. Covered every blade of grass tackling and closing people down. Along with Keef in midfield allowed Pearson the freedom to do what he does best--making forward runs and trying to play others into the game. +Much better performance today but we have to do it consistently.

And he'll always be looking over his shoulder for the Sellic gig when Delia gets the bullet. No Thanks

You beat the shit out of somebody who couldnae fight and took their stone island jaikit off them then went in.
-
Kennedy for me by a mile. Snuffed out everything thistle could muster. Also best performance from Ainsworth for a long time and good solid performance from Grimshaw at right back.

I was at the game and to be honest haven't a clue what kicked it all off despite being about 40 feet away. But as far as I was aware any steward employed at a football match has absolutely no right to eject or forceably remove anybody from the crowd. They can ask you to go with them but if you refuse they can do F**k all about it. They can ask the police to remove people from the crowd but if they attempt to do it themselves they are open to a charge of assault. ? Is this not the case. If this is correct the next time anything like this happens take pictures of the culprit on your phones which can then back up your statement. Some people on here are blaming the young guys for bringing it on themselves but I don't agree. Anytime I have been near them at away games they are only trying to create a bit of atmosphere. The problem as I see it only really applies to one company who supply stewards at games i.e. the ones employed by St Mirren and now as we know Morton. The young guys don't seem to have a problem at Hearts/Partick/Kilmarnock etc. Maybe we should be asking this company to be looked at by the powers that be rather than trying to put the blame on young guys enjoying themselves at a football match. Anyway Mon the Crags. Mon the Dossers

Not just the DJ dive outside the box but John Grieg nearly halved Willie Pettigrew in the box at the other end and nothing was given. Never forgave the ref for that night.

Do you think Neil Lennon will turn out for Bolton ?? Think he would get a good reception if he did.

Happy days standing on the ash bing at the special school end with the pylons then changing ends at half time. Food van at the exit onto Dalziel Avenue and the smell of piss from the "toilet" next to it Wonderful memories. (66 going on 18)

FFS we haven't even seen the boy yet but " he has no long term future at Man Utd " He's captain of their U20 side so he must have something about him. Played in UEFA Youth cup and was sent off against Bayern Leverkusen so looks like he puts himself about a bit. Just what we need in the middle of the park. Looking forward to seeing him in a Well shirt.

This better be a wind up.

+1 Dave

Kennedy sent off today for the U20 side. Does a ban affect the first team if he was to be selected on Saturday ??
-
Official site has Jake Taylor 23 year old Welsh international midfielder signed on season long loan from Reading. Anybody know anything about him ????
-
Wee bet on the lads to win at 4/1 and then another at half time that we would keep a clean sheet at 8/13. Good days work. Mon the Dossers

Milo when you reach Inverness just continue along the dual carriageway till you reach the roundabout just before the Bridge and turn right. The stadium is there right under the bridge practically and there is parking beside the stadium. There are a few decent eating places in the town itself with Filling Station, Weatherspoons and an Auctioneers all in the town centre + pubs doing grub. Enjoy your trip.

Presumably because the season was extended to allow for the playoffs the work on the playing surface was also delayed and they want to give it as long as possible to recover before using it again.

As above.
