  1. Exactly. We can’t afford to pay compensation, so I very much doubt that a manager who is under contract to another club would be in the running for the job. Unemployed managers need only apply, unless your club doesn’t want financial compensation.
  2. All the best Stuart, it’s very sad that it has come down to this. He is without doubt one of the best mangers that we have ever had. If they are honest with themselves some of our players should think about doing the same thing.
  3. Your a brave man Weeyin as United WILL punish our defensive errors, and boy do we know how to make defensive errors. Whilst I don’t think we will lose 9, we will lose at least 4 without reply.
  4. It’s certainly chilly enough in Motherwell.
  5. The stats don’t lie, points make prizes.
  6. Correct, however, when you are sinking like we are, you need a manager who can teach you how to swim.
  7. We are sinking faster than a piece of lead tied around a rock. It’s so bad that the rats left last week.
  8. And McCall needs to accept his punishment and walk.
  9. Unless McCall goes we will be relegated by then.
  10. Is there a rule that requires Scottish pro teams to have a youth set up? As it stands, our current youth policy is costing us money that we don’t have. We should operate a bargain bin 30 and over player only policy as we clearly have no intention of taking a punt on promising youngsters. If we can’t show clear evidence that our youth policy is earning us much needed cold hard cash, we should scrap it.
  11. Why even bother with a youth set up when you are never going to make a return on your investment? With that kind of attitude we would be better off just employing 'bargain bin' 30 something footballers and leave the youth market to more forward thinking clubs.
  12. Sadly the vultures have been circling around our club for some time. It would appear that we are in trouble both on and off the park, and with no sign of a sugar daddy to rescue us, these are indeed worrying times.
  13. Agreed, they look sharp upfront and more importantly they look strong defensively.
  14. Saints appear to be holding their own against Sevco who have enough quality in depth to finish top 6 in the SPFL. Given our shocking record against Sevco/Rangers, we would probably be dead and buried by now.
  15. The way our luck has been going St Johnstone will knock 8 past them without reply, with no reported injuries.
  16. And there in lies the rub, like it or not, we are in the very early stages of (whisper it) those 'R & A' words becoming a reality. Hopefully it won't come to that, however, we are currently showing very little evidence through our results and performances that it won't happen. The question is, how long do you leave a virus before you seek help? Ultimately the treatment might not work, however, at least you can say that you looked for a cure in the early stages before it becomes too late. I would give McCall at least a month to show some signs of improvement (i.e. through results on the park) and to prove that he has the ability to turn around our season. If not, we need to hope that he walks, or by some miracle we can summon up enough cash to compensate him for the time remaining on his contract.
  17. This is never going to happen, unless of course McCall decides to walk.
  18. He should have said nothing... except to say that we are only helping him with training facilities and we have no intention of signing him. We have helped ex players in the past in the understanding that we would not be signing them. McCall gave the impression that Clarkston was a little different from the usual courtesy training thing.
  19. Then why did he even bother to look at him when he clearly wanted someone with pace?
  20. Sadly administration would not be that far off if we do get relegated. Troubling times down Fir Park way.
