  1. Aileen joined the club in August 2014 as a replacement for the long-serving John Porteous, who departed for Hibernian after 23-years service. Aileen filled the role previously held by Adam Stokes, who was promoted as John’s direct replacement. Having previously worked in placements at Kilmarnock, St Mirren, Rob Roy Juniors and West of Scotland FC, she brings a wealth of experience to the role – qualifying from Glasgow Caledonian Uni in 2012 with BSc (Hons) in both Physiotherapy but also Business & Information Management. Aileen will work directly with Jonatan Johansson’s Under 20s squad, but also teams up and assists Adam with the first-team.
  2. Similar to Partick Thistle and Dundee we would spend a few years in the lower leagues before eventually fighting our way back into the top flight. Depressing to think that we could be relegated before the likes of St Mirren.
  3. A six pointer. Sadly, the hangman's noose is starting to tighten around Stuart's fragile neck. 1-0 St Johnstone, with Faddy coming off the bench to score the winner. I can already hear Elton John's song blaring over the tannoy at the final whistle... I Guess That's Why They McCall It The Blues. Just like Stuart, i'll get my coat.
  4. Our pulse is weak and the habit of losing appears to be spreading. The race is on to find a cure for the Hibola virus that has spread through Fir Park. Is there a cure? Or will we be joining LD in the championship next season? Who knows, however, if we don't start picking up points soon the game as they say is a bogey. I can see tabloid headlines now... It's time to McCall it a day.
  5. Wee Tommy would whip them into shape, and would probably guarantee us top flight football next season. However, given his age (late 60s?) he would probably be better suited to mentoring a younger boss.
  6. Thank god there are no decent teams in Scotland.
  7. People keep saying this, however, they never mention where we will find the compensation money if we let him go before his contract is up. Unless he walks, we can't afford to sack him.
  8. At least we still have the Faddy goal that relegates us to look forward to.
  9. If we lose all 7 we will have a clearer understanding on where we stand in the relegation stakes. We can then relax as the other games will have no baring on where we finish.
  10. That is something only Flow could answer, however, I have my doubts on whether he has the final say on the coming and going of managerial and playing staff.
  11. If you mean Flow, to my knowledge he has never been ‘the club photographer’. However, I am sure he is just as frustrated and angry as anyone at our current predicament.
  12. I have tried to be positive with my predictions of late, however, yesterday I witnessed a team that appears to have already consigned themselves to championship football. 3-0 Aberdeen.
  13. It’s fine to say that we need a new manager, however, I am not sure where the money is coming from to pay for the compensation that he would be due (we are skint). I am afraid unless McCall walks he will be here until is contract expires.
  14. If I was a betting man I would put my mortgage on it. Easy money.
  15. Ojamaa, he looked more like his old self today.
  16. For me we look far better when we play at a higher tempo. I reckon we also need to get in teams faces and be more aggressive in our approach to games.
  17. I assume he was watching from the stand. Not sure why though.
  18. We can’t afford to sack McCall so I am afraid he is here to stay until his contract is up.
  19. I am no medical expert, however, can anyone with medical expertise confirm if it is possible for a player to play for two months with a torn hamstring.
  20. On recent showings that is not beyond the realms of possibility.
  21. I have witnessed a few grim seasons throughout my years supporting Motherwell and this spell has a familiar feel to it. As Hibs proved last season a change of manager doesn’t always solve the problem. Similar to Hibs, I believe that we have problems that go much deeper than just the manager.
  22. The manger speaks... Stuart McCall cursed Dundee’s early goal, which shattered his side’s already fragile confidence. It was another hugely frustrating afternoon, and the Fir Park boss said: “When you have got two teams playing with a lack of confidence based on results, you want to get a foothold in the game and get a good start. “Then, within two minutes, we’ve lost a goal and almost automatically you can see confidence almost drain out of players.“There’s no magic formula that cures that. “It’s just got to come with a belief that things will turn around with individuals taking the game by the scruff of the neck but that can be difficult when you are going through a rough period both individually and collectively. “I am obviously desperately disappointed with the result but more so with the way we defended. “At times they went through us like a knife through butter and when you are not creating a great deal of chances, albeit today I thought we were far better in that area, it’s difficult.”
  23. Sadly, all of the above. We are in the early stages of the Hibola virus that swept through Easter Road last season, and I am afraid that there might be no cure.
