  1. That was a superb listen, keep up the good work lads. I have no doubt that the newspapers will pick some of his quotes.
  2. The beauty of online forums, a place where speculation and gossip thrive. For all I know (and that’s not much) the whole diagonal/sash shirt may well be nonsense. It’s fun guessing though.
  3. The Macron team wear catalogue sash design is similar to this new Newcastle Puma third template, however, the Macron sash goes in the opposite direction. I am not a big fan of using a crew neck for this kind of shirt, consequently, if available I am hoping that we opt for a winged collar.
  4. I get the impression that everything was put on hold due to us being in the play-off. Maybe any new kit sponsor money was dependent on which division we would be playing in. As Flow mentioned in his latest interview the play-off triggered various issues within the club, with regard to contracts and other day to day things. The new kit was probably way down the list of priorities.
  5. The Wanderers which was released around the same time was also a superb film. “Leave the kid alone!”
  6. Flashes of C&A is the important part here as I can’t stand lazy generic team wear with a club badge stitched on to it. Our recent black away seemed like an after thought.
  7. May well be, however, I think the change in sponsor was more the issue. A new sponsor wouldn't want us to release our new kits without their logo pictured on the front.
  8. It also looks pretty smart with a polo neck style collar.
  9. I would accept either of these designs.
  10. I usually prefer white away kits, however, we had one last season and it’s probably time for a wee change. My favourite claret top was the 1960s Summer Cup amber hoop away and I would welcome it’s return. The amber pinstriped away was also a cracking shirt and I would have no issues with returning to that design.
  11. I an ideal world yes. Or even the option to buy the top without would be a step forward, however, I doubt any sponsor would be agreeable to that.
  12. I wonder who will have the honour of sponsoring the mighty Well? It would be great to have a sponsor that is not gambling, alcohol or money lending related, however, I do realise that these are the type of businesses that are currently thriving in the UK.
  13. I have to agree the finish on the club badge has always been a bug bear of mine, however, although I no longer buy tops I noticed the finish on last seasons badge was a little odd.
  14. If I had to choose a Macron shirt template for an updated sash/diagonal design I would be tempted to go for the 2014/15 Lazio design. Similar to our 70s top I would prefer it if the sash went from the top right shoulder to the bottom left hand corner of the shirt. However, I did notice that the standard Macron sash team wear sash shirt goes in the opposite direction and the neck line is a standard crew neck. Depending on the sponsor, it is possible for the sash to remain unbroken, however, some designs elect to leave a gap in the middle. I am not too fussed on the colour of the shorts, however, our 70s kit mainly utilised claret shorts. The same with the socks I would go with either all amber with claret hoops or claret with amber hoops. Anyway, here is a very rough mock up to demonstrate how it might look.
  15. This is surely a situation that any manager should thrive on in being able to build your ‘own’ team without having to rely too much on a previous managers players. Unlike the January window, Baraclough has the whole of the summer to target the players that he wants. I am sure with the scouting network that Motherwell have put in place, we will unearth a few gems (just no Straker’s please!). COYW!
  16. Simple, the next striker, Baraclough signs.
  17. A sash kit will certainly divide opinion, however, I have no issues with a one off return if it is done right. Fingers crossed.
  18. I suspected that it might be, however, has this been officially announced, or did you ask someone on the inside?
  19. Cash Convertors have been very supportive, however, they probably don’t fit our new owners community vision. They are basically a pawn shop and Les maybe feels that we should be moving in a different direction.
  20. Best wishes to John Sutton, he has been a great servant to Motherwell over the two spells that he has had with us. We now need to source another target man who can deliver 15-18 goals a season.
  21. It’s going to be an interesting and exciting pre-season and hopefully Baraclough will unearth a few gems.
  22. Another great listen, well done to all concerned.
  23. I assume it will now be Monday before we get a preview of the new kits.
  24. Through a process of elimination I predicted (guessed!) the Macron template that we utilised last year. This time I am hoping for a proper collar and we may also see a one off sash design similar to our mid 70s shirt. People will be divided on this, however, I don’t have a problem with a one off homage to a well loved design. However, if we choose to stick with the band/hoop I am sure Macron won’t disappoint. Failing that I would love to see a proper 70s sash retro top (the one we sold a few years back was the wrong collar design and didn’t have the correct 70s MFC monogram).
  25. The Umbro Trophy Jersey template is almost identical.
