  1. I am going along to this one with more hope than expectation. Mon the Well!
  2. Big John’s a proven goal scorer and when he gets off the mark there will be no stopping him.
  3. I would agree on that one, however, the cup tie is in late September not at the end of the season. At this moment in time our confidence is low, and any team would fancy their chances against us home or away.
  4. Even this early in the season Hamilton have shown that they are no pushovers, Motherwell on the other hand have shown the complete opposite. I would go as far as to say that this game is a must win with regards to cup moral. The game is certainly winnable, however, the early signs don’t fill me with much confidence. On the plus side at least we managed to avoid Sevco.
  5. As applications closed on the 12 June, this may suggest that there were no ideal candidates (or if there was, they opted not to accept the job). As long as it's not effecting Flows other day to day duties we will just need to wait until we find the right person for the job. I am firmly in the MJC camp if he is still available to take up the post.
  6. A stroll in the park for a very well organised Saints side. Motherwell 0 - St Johnstone _ (insert any number between 2 and 5 here).
  7. I am sure that is the case Andy, however, if my memory serves me correct the job description seemed pretty tough, and filling it might not be that easy. At the time I wondered if the financial incentive was there to lure someone to take up the position. In saying that, I don't remember a salary scale being mentioned on the ad, and for all I know we may well be able to pay the going rate for the right person. There is a good chance that they will be able to find a Media graduate who is willing to accept a slightly lower wage (18K?) to get on the employment ladder. However, I suspect candidates with more experience will be expecting anything upwards of 23K a year to take the job. Edit: The job details are still on the official site and the closing date for applications was 12 June.
  8. It could be down to money (lack of) or perhaps the new media person is in place and the website has yet to be updated. I doubt whether Flow can handle both of the jobs on a permanent basis, however, in these cash strapped times maybe he has no option.
  9. With Flow seemingly still handling the MFC interviews, has the budget for a new Head of Club Media gone? Or, are they just finding it difficult to find a replacement?
  10. As it will be either Sevco or Hearts in the play off it will not be easy for whoever gets it.
  11. McCall has a lot to worry about according to OAM.
  12. All of the above + the inability to do the basics (passing ect). Toothless up front according to OAM, we are a pale shadow of the team we were last season.
  13. Any predictions on how many we will lose by? Going by the early comments on OAM we are lucky not to be 2 or 3 down.
  14. Judging by how both teams have been playing recently you would need to be a masochist to go to this one. I predict that both teams will be sued under the trades description act at the final whistle.
  15. Our record on artificial surfaces doesn’t bode too well. Thank god Killie are on a par with Albion Rovers and have yet to reach the level of Stjarnan. 2-1 Killie.
  16. Pretty much this. It’s a paper (if you can call it that) that I have never bought and never will. I tend to agree with the Liverpool fans stance on this apology for a newspaper, however, that aside their Ad Agency Grey London has created a great campaign to help promote the new season.
  17. Anyone catch the follow up ad with the Well fan checking the results in his kitchen?
  18. Sadly it will only get worse if performances on the park don’t improve.
  19. For me it was between Kerr and McManus. In the end I went for the latter.
  20. Far too early to be thinking about that prospect, however, we are a team that looks disjointed with no pace and very little threat up front. Whilst the addition of Ojamma is a welcome one, he doesn't have the same players around him that he had when he left. At the moment we are playing like a bottom six side and we will need to witness a massive improvement if this is to change.
  21. It’s certainly up there, it looks like it’s going to be a long hard season.
