  1. Going by the piped applause they use, it’s probably on the comedy channel.
  2. Sad that it’s come to that, it sounds like a bad canned laughter 1980s sitcom.
  3. The wife says that I am very cheap. An unbranded AS Roma Macron version of our kit would probably have looked a bit like this...
  4. Kappa would be fine as long as their logo wasn’t slapped all over the kit. Macron have shown that they are happy to produce unbranded kit for some clubs. The new AS Roma kit was manufactured by them due to quality issues with their Kappa kits. I am not sure who makes the Killie kit, however they seem happy to make unbranded kit for any club that requires it. The AS Roma unbranded 'Macron' top
  5. Stalker? I am merely trying to obtain some more information as regards our new home top. As you appear to have some inside info on the players opinion of the fit of the new top.
  6. Inside information? I just found the two quotes from the other thread. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the content, however here is what Onthefringes said about some players reactions to the new home top... Anyone else heard of any complaints from players about the new kit?
  7. Likewise I think they have done a great job, however a poster (Onthefringes?) in the new kit thread seemed to indicate all was not well (if you pardon the pun) with some of the current squad as regards our new top.
  8. Purely a fun poll, as I am sure that the powers at be will have already secured a new deal for next season. Our four year deal with Genesis Sport comes to an end at the end of the current season, and apart from my own reservations over our current home and away kits, I think they have done a great job. It's not easy to accommodate our unique (in Scottish Professional Football) colours, as claret and amber is very rarely offered as an off the shelf colour scheme. With that in mind, I thought I would start a poll to gauge peoples opinions on who you would like to see supply our kit for the 2014/15 season. It's probably too late to go down my favoured route of making our own kit, however I have left it as a possible future option.
  9. Mind games or just paranoia on my part? I noticed that United have closed the bottom tier of the Jim McLean stand on Sunday, meaning that Well fans will be housed in the upper section. Psychologically I understand why they do this, however it can effect the atmosphere between the fans and the team. Did this happen last time at Tannadice or is it a consequence of all the fan negativity surrounding the St.Mirren game?
  10. I had forgotten the little known fact that legendary Well keeper Keith MacRae worked as a sub-editor for the Scottish Daily Express. Those were the days when top provincial club players (out with the Old Firm) would hold down two or more jobs to earn a decent living. When he signed for Manchester City, his days at the newspaper came to an end.
  11. Despite his obvious pedigree, he looks to be a shadow of the player that he was. This is not to say that he won’t reach former heights, however at the moment that looks some way off.
  12. This will be a tough one as United are starting to show some form. Hopefully Sutton will continue to prove any doubters wrong and bang in another goal. I’m predicting a hard fought 2-2 draw, however in order to get that we will need to be on top of our game.
  13. After our recent treatment at the hands of this mob, we should just keep our cash. They deserve nothing.
  14. As I said on this early on this thread smoke bombs don't particularly bother me, however the authorities view them differently. Can anyone confirm if a fine is handed out, is it us or St.Mirren who have to stump up the cash? If it's us, I am sure that Motherwell will not be prepared or afford to put up with them.
  15. This... I love the party atmosphere that’s created by the Well Bois, and they really have given our support a much needed kick up the arse. Sing, dance, make noise, wave flags, however please don't take anymore smoke bombs into stadiums.
  16. Another so called 'bogey team' put to the sword.
  17. I wasn’t at the game, so I couldn’t say. However Richie, who I think was there said this... I am also sure that Chick Young made some mention of it during his open all mikes spot on the BBC.
  18. That is where the problem starts to get serious, as we can little afford to pay fines of that magnitude. This is what Head of Safety at Motherwell FC, Alan Marshall said in 2011 as regards smoke bombs...
  19. I have personally got no problem with smoke bombs (although the football authorities obviously do), they can add colour and atmosphere to a game, however throwing them on to the playing surface is not on. To be chucked out or arrested for singing and dancing is just crazy (you would like to think that there was more to it than that).
  20. I’m on your side, however I fear the people on high may take a different view.
  21. So any fans removed for allegedly throwing smoke bombs, could in theory receive football banning orders. Or do they just get a smack on the wrist, and told not to do it again?
  22. My take on the 1960s Big Bad John song. A tribute to Big John Sutton.
  23. The BBC reported it as flares. Just curious, are smoke bombs banned from football stadiums?
  24. As usual, St.Mirren appear to be upping their game against Motherwell. Even contest according to the BBC.
