  1. I am not sure of our profit and loss over the last few years, maybe someone on here call tell us if we made a profit or a loss last season.
  2. Inverness have shown that by having the luxury of a team that has changed very little from last season, they will be tough opponents for every side in the SPFL. Ultimately I reckon this will prove too tough a task for our new look side and result in a 3-1 defeat.
  3. The majority of the SPFL clubs will have some financial concerns/problems at the moment, unfortunately we are no different from the rest. In fact we will probably finish the season in debt, unless we can generate some income through cup success and finishing at least in the top three of the SPFL.
  4. I’ve just watched the highlights and apart from the first minute we looked very, very poor. I hope that the performance was down to our Euro travels and not something that will happen on a regular basis.
  5. Off topic: Ya Beezer your avatar pic is superb, please tell me that’s you in the picture.
  6. Agreed, however Europe always seems like a step too far for us. Maybe one day.
  7. I wouldn’t say they were pish. This is a side that in the past have drawn with the likes of Chelsea and beaten Valencia home and away. And in 2010/11 they had narrow defeats to Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid in the CL. The bottom line is that Motherwell are not ready to play against a side of the quality of FC Kuban, a side that will crumble when they meet any team of real quality.
  8. I reckon with their recent exploits in Europe Rosenborg are probably on a par technically with FC Kuban. If they met, there would be very little between the sides. Kuban were an okay team, however they would be no match for the likes of Swansea who beat Malmo in a canter last night. I could be wrong, but I reckon FC Kuban will not be going too far in this competition.
  9. Or if you are a Saints fan... beating a team with a budget St Johnstone could only dream of. Ah well, roll on Sunday when the real fitba season starts.
  10. Kuban are no better than Rosenborg who St Johnstone recently put to the sword. The Norwegian’s had a far superior euro pedigree than the Russians, however Saints showed what can be achieved at this level. I do realise Rosenborg’s budget (£20m?) is far less than Kuban’s (£40m?) but that still doesn’t dilute what the Saints achieved over the two games. This is the sort of result we should be aiming for in europe, rather than just rolling over and accepting our fate.
  11. Once again the fans were superb tonight.
  12. I’m going for Vigurs, although Hutchy would be a close second.
  13. We allowed them to dictate play all through the 90 minutes, and apart from the header by Sutton at the end we never looked like scoring. Another euro deja vu night for the Well. Another euro deja vu night for the Well. Another euro deja vu night for the Well.
  14. Although I have heard that Ian St John has passed a late fitness test and is ready to play.
  15. That sounds about right, I really hoped we would have sold a few more, but Kuban are not a big name draw for the floating fan. At kick off there won't be much more in the ground (6400?), it's just a shame that the away stand will be empty as it will look shit on the Russian telly coverage. Personally I blame Kuban Krasnodar for not taking a bigger allocation of tickets. It's their first game in Europe and they can only bring 30 fans, poor show. Edit: I just noticed that one of the Kuban fans has posted an instagram picture of his ticket, and it is for the south stand, So it appears that there will be fans in the away end after all.
  16. Yes it's still working great at my end, it appears to be a permanent live stream from the Channel that is showing the match.
  17. Exactly, any dig at UEFA inside the ground will usually be noted by the representative at the game and will result in a fine for the club. The club will also be pressurised into taking action on the person or persons who are deemed to be responsible. It's a sad state of affairs, however the club agree to abide by the rules when they enter the competition. I would warn any fan who is thinking about taking a flag or banner into the ground that is slagging off UEFA, should probably think twice about doing it.
  18. That’s a really good stream, I am sorry that I bought a ticket now. It certainly should help ease the worries of anyone who can’t make the game as your link works great ( I even watched a news build up to the game there).
  19. I missed all the pre season games, so I am in no position to comment on how Hollis did or did not perform. For what it is worth, some players seem to carry a bit more luck than others. Hollis to me seems like the sort of person who attracts bad luck and in football that’s not a good thing. If he plays he will get my full support, and maybe a wee penalty save will see his luck change for the better.
  20. This link was posted on the other thread... However the link could end up being anything from Kuban folk dancing to Russian porn.
  21. Not that I’m aware of, I watched the live stream of Celtic TV’s coverage of last nights game against Elfsborg and it looked pretty good. Something similar (although on a smaller scale) would be great for these games.
  22. Rain is what Scotland is best known for. I hope they enjoy it.
  23. UEFA hate being criticised at any time. We should try a bit of reverse psychology and produce a banner praising them for all there good work . Then maybe they would give us more money rather than taking it from us.
