  1. Flares were thrown onto the pitch and the game was stopped. Some Motherwell fans were seemingly arrested.
  2. Terry Butcher claims that Malpas makes a mean chicken curry, does that count? However, if it’s purely football management we are talking about, he’s about as much use as a chocolate teapot.
  3. The way they have been playing it’s a certainty. They have flirted with relegation for a few years now, and I reckon this will be their year. The recent league position stats don’t make good reading for Saints fans, and surprise surprise they currently sit in 11th place with only one point. In saying that they have played one game less than the teams above them. St. Mirren’s recent SPL league record. 2012-13 they finished 11th 2011-12 they finished 8th 2010-11 they finished 11th 2009-10 they finished 10th 2008-09 they finished 11th 2007-08 they finished 10th 2006-07 they finished 11th
  4. I am sure that his wife was on the TV show I’m a Celebrity...Get me out of Here...
  5. Wiki and stats are two words that don’t really go hand in hand, it’s probably one of the most unreliable sources to get factual information on the web.
  6. That’s probably 9 more than would turn up at a Jim Gannon appreciation society meeting.
  7. By that time, he had probably pissed off so many players that no one would play for him.
  8. Forget all this training nonsense, all you need is some bacteria from slim people like me. Bacteria from slim people could help treat obesity, study finds
  9. In the eyes of some maybe. (Not me I hasten to add.)
  10. The noticeboard story came from McGarry...
  11. He also took no shit from directors, players, fans, tea ladies, car park attendants, dogs, cats and his own reflection. He will be remembered by some as a flawed genius who couldn't get on with anyone. I really hope his people skills have improved, or buying a car off him could end up being a nightmare. I wonder how his wife is doing?
  12. With Gannon it’s either his way or the highway, and unfortunately for him this means that no club will touch him with a bargepole. The only way he will get to select another team will be on ‘Football Manager’, even then, he would probably fall out with his computer.
  13. I am pretty certain that he is a Motherwell fan, hopefully Delboy on here will confirm it as he has much closer ties with Doogie than I do.
  14. Exactly, I’m a skinny bastard that could be doing with a bit of encouragement to get fitter. My only crime is having a 28" waist and being shite at football.
  15. He is certainly popular on that Stoke website. Looks like he's pissed a lot of people off in football circles and has been forced to jack it in. Shame, as he could spot a player. Just a pity that he could't get on with the majority of the people he worked with.
  16. Maybe the embossed sponsors logo that onthefringes alluded too in his previous post is the difference between the two shirts. Can anyone confirm if the replicas or indeed the match worn shirts have an embossed sponsors logo? Cheers.
  17. In the past, match worn shirts would have a different spec to the ones on sale to the general public. This probably only happens at the big clubs now, although I am not party to how Genesis Sports/Provan produce our first team tops. You mentioned that our sponsor is embossed, I hadn't realised this. The last embossed sponsors logo that I can remember was on the Pony Motorola shirts (see pic). In saying that, I don't buy shirts so there may have been others. Usually these days the sponsors logo is either printed on or heat transferred. I have to admit that I do favour a properly embroidered badge, however the players comfort comes first, and if nipple rash is an issue the badge should be printed on to the shirt, not stitched. The kit contract is up at the end of the season and we will just need to wait to see if Genesis sign up for a few more years. However if what you say is correct, these niggling problems may force the kit man and Provan to seek pastures new.
  18. The sleeves being too long doesn’t appear to me to be too big a issue. I can see the neckline being a problem with some players as it does look a little tight around the neckline. Just curious, which of these issues has forced the kit man to pay out of his own pocket?
  19. I am too busy stuffing my face with steak pies, and my eyes are no what they used to be!
  20. Not so grim, he will almost certainly be a Partick Thistle player next season.
  21. Hollis, Carswell, Hutch all made important contributions to the game, however I am going for the much maligned Big John Sutton as he never stopped his unique style of running all day. He capped it all with a fine goal as well.
  22. I noticed that. I have also only just noticed that the two stripes on the shorts are only on the left. The right is blank apart from the club badge and sponsor.
  23. Due to an earlier incident when someone was sadly hit by a train.
  24. Swansea will be a tough match, and I am sure that they also will fancy their chances against Krasnodar. Good luck for the rest of the tournament.
