Getting taught a lesson off an EPL side will be a good learning curve for us. The nearest we get to playing a side of that quality is Celtic, and it’s worth remembering Newcastle only finished 16th last season. They probably won't finish much higher this season, however at that level the gulf in class is too great for us to compete. In saying that, maybe with our first 11 out we would have giving them a tougher match.

Too long to wait, I want us to have a decent side this year.

You may have a long wait, speed merchants like Humphrey are few and far between. We certainly will miss the guys pace and his ability to turn defence into attack. He is the one guy that we will really struggle to replace.

She was definitely a Rangers fan. I used to do design work for Zoom Airlines and like Leanne our client handler was a Rangers season ticket holder and he would chat to her at length about the games.

The fact that we successfully converted a former blue nose season ticket holder like Leanne into the Well family, proves just how much this club can get under your skin. I just hope in the future we can attract younger fans to support the Well before they get hypnotised by the Old Firm. In saying that, if anyone can lure fans from the dark side before it‘s too late it’s Leanne, as she has first hand experience.

Our 4 year kit deal with Genesis Sports finishes at the end of this coming season. I personally have been very happy with our kits from Genesis/Puma, however I wondered what everyone thoughts are on the subject.? Genesis only deal with Puma gear so if you would like to see the Well kitted out in adidas, Nike or any other brand we would need to move suppliers. Or are you happy to see the Well kitted out in Puma gear for a few more years yet?

This style of hooped chest shirt was very popular in the 60's. Like all classic retro designs they tend to make a comeback every now and then. That's the beauty of good shirt design if it isn't broke there is no need to fix it. The whole recent Umbro kit revival was based on their classic kit archive. All they did was give teams classic kits a slight modern twist.

Given that league championships don’t come along too often for teams like us, you would like to think that the club would have held on to such an important piece of memorabilia. When I did some work for the club a few years ago the company that I was working for got access to trophies and other memorabilia, but don’t remember seeing a league winners flag. However that’s not to say that it isn’t still in our possession.
