Hammell for me. As my mate said last night, 'once Forbes removes the lead from his boots, he'll be a world beater'. It's a pity you couldn't combine Forbes touch and delivery with Humphrey's pace.

    South Stand

Main Stand looks virtually full, however, plenty seats left in the Cooper and East Stand going by the online thing.
  3. I wonder if it could be Maggie's Cancer Charity, given John Boyle's involvement with them, or even St Andrew's Hospice
  4. Gudjohnsen won't be playing for you, imagine he got injured during the match, Spurs would tell him where to go and he'd be left without a club!!! Also, why on earth would Reading allow Sigurdsson to go on loan having been their top goalscorer last year? Never going to happen. Looking forward to the match all the same, it'll be good to get back to competitive football so soon after the end of the SPL.

    Ins & Outs

I agree with you regarding under-rating him. Left sided, quick centre halves are rare these days. In terms of fee then remember Aberdeen got £500k for Lee Miller in January who was out of contract in the summer. I realise that goalscorers generally go for more money, however, I would hardly have called Lee Miller a proven goalscorer. I think £750k would be a decent price for him, however, we'll just need to wait and see. As long as it isn't £100k from Rangers!!

    Ins & Outs

If Garry Kenneth is rumoured to be worth £1m, Reynolds is worth £10m!!! £500k would be ridiculous to accept in my opinion.

    Ins & Outs

Brown has said that he has budget to sign a goalkeeper and a striker, not that we need to sell Reynolds to sign any more players. If we sell Reynolds then obviously we could further strengthen the squad due to the additional finance. I don't know if I agree with Brown pimping out our players publicly. It does strike me as a little desperate to get some additional finance and obviously buying clubs will realise this and probably get Reynolds on the cheap (par for the course at Fir Park!)!

    Ins & Outs

According to an Accies supporting mate, this guy was murder and quickly binned from the Accies first team....says it all for me.
  9. It would be nice of the club to make a statement on this. Are we trying to get Brown/Knox on contracts or what are the reasons behind them not working with a contract? One way or another, I definitely think the club should be saying something official.

    Well Lotto

It's definitely still on the go as I won £100 a couple of weeks ago. Only knew when my old man spotted it in the Motherwell Times. The lack of information from the club is very poor indeed though.

    Season Tickets

Having read the statement by the club again, although factually correct, it is a little misleading. In fact, as it's election time, maybe they've taken the inspiration from the politicians!!!! To me, when you say you are freezing prices from last year that means you should pay the same as last year! However, as the club have changed the terms of the early bird discount that means it's an increase in prices for a large proportion of season ticket holders. A little bit sly in my opinion. Mind you, I'll still be renewing.

    Season Tickets

Good on Motherwell for doing this. Although we are stealing Accies idea from this season!

    Darren Smith

Quite simply he was never good enough. Might be able to run quick and put in a shift, but doesn't have the quality for SPL level.
  14. Fraser wasn't too blame for any of the goals last night. First one was a combination of Jennings being outjumped and Reynolds going to sleep and losing Thompson. Second one was Saunders misjudging the flight of the ball, which is very unlike him. Pure and simple. I do reckon though if Ruddy had have been in goals, he'd have came and collected both cross balls, however, the fact of the matter is that Ruddy is well over 6ft and Fraser is well under 6 ft! Fraser is a decent back up but won't be anything more.
  15. I reckon we'll become the first team to play at an indoor football stadium
  16. Pretty inept performance today and Falkirk thoroughly deserved their win. They played some decent stuff, especially in the first half and Scobbie, Barr and Arfield were outstanding. To be honest, I am surprised they are struggling as much in the league as they are not the worst team to have played us this season. I wish Pa Broon would stop deploying this crazy system of dropping Sutton back into left midfield when we're defending. I can see the point of this if we are under the cosh and defending a lead however when we're 1-0 down at home, it makes no sense whatsoever. Generally speaking the ball was getting humped out of defence and Murphy had no chance against Barr/Scobbie so needless to say we'd lose possession again. I also wish we'd try to give the ball to O'Brien more often as he is our spark and most creative player. Still, it'll be all the more sweeter now when we go to the piggery and hump Smeltic!
  17. The White Pele returns! A true legend!

    Bounce Game

Means nothing unfortunately. Celtic play tomorrow night therefore any players who may have a chance of being involved in the St Mirren match will either just be taking it easy or not involved. Anyway, Brown has been gash for the past 18 months, McCourt can only last 30 mins every 3 months and Caddis couldnae lace Tom Hateley's boots therefore if we didn't beat them, I'd be worried!!!

    Steve Jennings

Reminds me very much of Alan McCormack. Hopefully we sign him up soon before other clubs realise how good a player he is at this level.

    Offside Goal

Agree 100% with fatcalf. The most blatant example of cheating and the SFA/SPL/Hugh Dallas/Whoever the f*ck runs the refs should sack the linesman....end of. Motherwell should be making more of a deal about this as well.

    Rangers

Probably the hardest man of the match decision this season (in a good way obviously). Reckon the top 3 are Lasley, Craigan and O'Brien. Went for Lasley.
  22. The draw tonight feels like a defeat. Don't think we've dominated a 1st half as much this season as we did tonight. 2nd half was more even although I thought we looked more dangerous going forward. I haven't seen the 'offside' goal yet so if anyone has a link to a replay that'd be great. I must admit that at the time I thought Forbes was naive to go near the ball as it was in anyway. Don't give those cheating c***s in the black any excuse to disallow a goal against the bigot brothers! Outstanding performances tonight from Craigan, Jennings, O'Brien, Hammell, but have to say that I thought Lasley was man of the match. He was absolutely everywhere, got stuck in (halved Davis and McCulloch in the first 10 mins), passing was exceptional and just generally drove the team on. Let's hope we can keep up this level of performance for Saturday as if we want to challenge for 3rd and 4th, this is a must win match. Hibs are at Ibrox on Sunday so hopefully they'll drop points there and now that Dundee United have Hegarty in, they are on the slippery slope as proven tonight.

    Aberdeen

I think the only time we used that formation under Brown was at Inverness and we know what happened there. Get two up front and go right at them from the off, must play at a high tempo from the start. Hopefully, we don't concede too many free kicks around the box if Mulgrew is fit.
  24. I'd sign Ruddy as I think he'd earn us more points over the season, plus we'd probably make more money when selling him on. In addition, he gives tremendous confidence to the back four as he is reliable, unlike previous keepers. In saying that, if Lukas bangs in another 10 goals between now and the end of the season, I may have changed my mind!! Great news though that they are both here until the end of the season so let's hope that both remain fit for the remaining games.
  25. Coke deserved to go for a shocking challenge but to be honest, he was non-existent before that anyway so I didn't think it made a major difference to team. In fact, to be honest, Coke either looked disinterested or just not with it, depends on your point of view. Big Lukas needs a boot up the erse as well since Brown claimed that he was "desparate" to play. He looked nowhere near fit last night and should've owned up to say he wasn't 100%. Still, again, I thought we played fairly well, organised in defence, superbly marshalled by Ruddy, Craggs and Reynolds. Lasley had another good game in central midfield and Murphy worked the line well. I also thought Forbes had a better game last night up until he tired at the 60 min mark as usual. I think with Forbes we have to accept that at times he is going to be a bit of a passenger, however, he more than makes up for that with his delivery, especially from dead balls. Oh aye, and Jennings in for Coke at the weekend.
