  1. Faddy was hated by a fair few was he not. Hibs and Hearts fans I work beside couldn't stand Stevie Kirk back in the day.
  2. Cup game is my priority by some distance. We are going to finish the season mid-table regardless.
  3. One of the more enjoyable defeats for some strange reason. Last year of school. Seems a wee bit longer than 10 years to me...
  4. Agree with Weeyin. Humphrey aye, Driver naw. It's in his blood.
  5. At least Pearo gave us some fine displays. While he has obvious raw talent, Slane has done the square root of heehaw in the league. He needs to prove he isn't a permanent crock before I'd lose any sleep about him leaving.
  6. Natural goalscorer. Delighted for him today.
  7. Disagree mate, I'm under no illusions that the boy is using us for a stepping stone but there is no need to be so blatant in underlining his desire to leave us for one of our rivals in the not too distant future. I happily backed the likes of Pearson and Skippy over the years after considerable good service to Motherwell but the situation with Yass doesn't sit so easily with me.
  8. St Mirren away in the Cup gives me the fear.
  9. Agreed, the lack of a mobile striker still concerns me. I do like the look of McHugh mind you.
  10. Grew up hating Hearts more than anyone, my dad always told me they were our bogey team and I took an instant dislike to the usual suspects. As AlB suggests however, they couldn't give a fuck about us. Nevertheless, I still find the Hearts games a wee bit special. Meanwhile, I always liked to see the Accies do well in the lower leagues and still don't see them as a close rival in the SPL. As for Airdrie, I've never really been exposed to the much discussed hatred between the 2 sets of fans.
  11. Thats what I go with. One of the strongest teams available in a slightly different formation. I'd be devestated if we get knocked out tomorrow. Gagging for a cup run!
  12. It will be interesting to see how many turn up for the Inverness game. Despite the drastic cut in price, I imagine you'll be lucky to get much more than 4,000.

    Paul Slane

Aye the silence is a wee bit concerning. As good as we played yesterday, I think we will struggle to score goals in the absence of another attack minded player.
  14. If it was £10/£5 yesterday we still wouldn't have filled our allocation. While I wish I didn't have to fork out £20 a week and would love to saving a fair whack at a time when finances are tight, I don't think you would see much bigger crowds at FP. You also have to accept that some of our fans refuse to go and see us play the OF. Personally, I get more excited about these games more than any others but each to their own.
  15. Just a pity we couldn't pay Mowgli our respects. Still baffled.
  16. Likewise, I had a good view and thought it was never a pen. Indeed, I was a tad embarrased by the 'dive'. Having spoke to a few folk that watched it on the telly though, they have said it was a pen. Fair play to Dougie MacDonald.
  17. Played some decent stuff today but wasn't overly impressed with our tactics. Its hard to grumble when you take a point off Rangers but it lookedto me as if we were playing for a point from half time onwards. Conversely mind you, we did have some cracking chances on the counter attack. We have some gifted players in midfield but going forward, I fear we might struggle to score goals unless Gannon starts playing Murphy alongside Sutton. Overall I'm gutted that we never took advantage of the penalty that never was but I'm encouraged by how our youngsters stood up to the test today.

    Rangers

Hard one, Hately probably just edging out Saunders, Ruddy & o'Brien.
  19. Wrong man took the penalty. O'Brien was fucked after running himself into the ground.
  20. Great news with Hutchison following Forbes. O'Brien and Coke would be my next priorities.
  21. Spotted Lafferty running across the road when I was queuing for the train out to Mount Florida. He looks fit to me. If Davis, Whittaker and Naismith maintain their form it could be a long afternoon.
  22. Best signing of the summer. Well deserved Ross.
