  1. Since I've started watching the 'Well, I'd say only Tommy McLean, the 91 team and James McFadden merit such status.

    Canterbury

Matches up to the description I was given a few weeks back. Belter!
  3. I have been looking forward to this game for weeks but last night's disappointment in OSlo has put me on a bit of a downer. Hopefully I'm in a far better mood when I'm driving back down the road on Saturday night. St Johnstone have had a very decent pre-season so a 2-2 draw wouldn't be a disaster. Just hope its an entertaining affair.
  4. Did he sign for Accies last season? http://www.hamiltonadvertiser.co.uk/hamilt...51525-21353961/ Sounds like he may offer cover in defence as well as midfield.
  5. Gamble is a very decent player IIRC. He was apparently on good money at Cork, £2500 a week, but they have financial trouble. I don't see him and Jennings palying in the same team though.
  6. Mind Dundee wanted Faddy Its just a matter of time before it goes tits up for them. Hammell is one of our best players.
  7. Pretty astounded that there was no tribute last night.
  8. Almost impossible to pick a man of the match. Hutchison is a real find. Hammell was back to his best, Reynolds a revelation in midfield, Forbes & Coke class, Sutton like a new signing.
  9. Proud as punch of the boys the night. Full credit to Gannon and the players. We showed in the 1st half just how good we can be. I thought Coke, Hutchison, Hammell & Reynolds were outstanding. Canny wait for Perth.
  10. If Killie were looking to sell Bryson I'm sure they would be touting him about and there would be plenty of takers.
  11. I don't think Steaua are quite as good as some folk think. Competent outfit aye, but not much more imo. O'Brien and Murphy start and have a right good go at them. Thats all we can ask for. 'Mon the fcukin 'Well...
  12. Is he more of a right back than a left back mate?
  13. Whats going on at the Accies? Are they serious about reinvesting some of the McCarthy money? First and foremost, Murphy better no be going anywhere. Secondly, if Bryson is available. I'd love to se us make a move. Doubt it mind you but he is a fine midfielder...

    Reynolds

Taking last Thursday out the equation, i think Reynolds looks like he has rekindled his old form since Gannon has arrived. I'm interested to see where Reynolds plays this season. If it wasn't for the emergence of Forbes, i think we would have seen Mark lining up in front of the defence. Gannon seems to be keen on him driving forward with the ball. Personally, I think his finest attribute is his ability to read the game and I think he will be a tremendous asset this season.
  15. Chris Porter, he had just about everything you needed.
  16. See the Dutch boy that doesn't have a future at Blackburn, think his name is Marco Rigters. I'd have a look at him. Admittedly, he recently failed to win a deal with Southend but I'd say he is worth considering. He scored a number of goals for the Dutch kids a few years back, canny mind if it was the Under 19s or not, I'm thinking of the tournament where Drenthe was outstanding.
  17. You'll no get a better summary. Spot on. These guys all have raw talent, it is important that they are given time.
  18. I'm a big fan of Craigan and fully appreciate his commitment to the club, however he made a horrendous error last night at a crucial time.
  19. There are a couple of moving pieces in the Sun today.
  20. Well played John Ruddy, saved us from a mauling. With performances like that though, we will struggle to keep a hold of him.
  21. Outclassed. Wee bit disappointed we constantly resorted to the long ball in the 1st half but maybe thats due to the opposition.
  22. Mowgli wasn't around in 91 was he? Heard on the radio that he scored 13 goals with us. Must admit, I thought it was more than that. I remember him and Arnott being on fire for a wee while...
  23. Was absolutely buzzing about tonight until I heard about McGrillen. 'Mon the 'Well. Do us proud...
  24. I cannot believe this. Hand on heart I was dreaming about him during the night, thinking of his goal against Hearts on a live BBC game. RIP Mowgli. I loved you as a player...
