  1. Thought he would just have hand luggage. Hope it works out alright for him despite phoning me at daft o'clock this morning.
  2. Pretty gutted I'm not out in Bucharest the now. Hard to predict tomorrow, they could either wipe the floor with us or we could give a good account for ourselves and be in with a shout next week. I'm more wooried about our lack of experience as opposed to the talent in Steaua's ranks. Interested to see what team Gannon will go with. Viva Motherwell...
  3. David is a far better player but Ritchie was still decent.
  4. Wonder if we are after Ritchie Jones. Decent midfielder IIRC.
  5. Is the Celtic game not on the telly either. BBC must be fucked then. Have Channel 5 gave up showing fitba?
  6. Prety ridiculous if the BBC don't cover this.
  7. Its imperative that Slane and Forbes get a contract asap. Otherwise, we risk losing them for a pittance prior to the end of August.
  8. Amen. Once a wanker, always a wanker.

Magic. This is the keeper I wanted.
  10. We've usually signed someone by this time of day For the purpose of the Bucharest game, I hope we can bring in either a keeper or a right back tonight.
  11. I'm too lazy to research this myself but I take it the Romanian season isn't underway yet?
  12. I was quite impressed by both. Humphrey is lightning quick and looks like he can put a decent cross in while Jennings seemed to defy the excess weight he is carrying.
  13. Och, slightly saddened that such a prestegious game won't be at Fir Park but the future of the pitch comes first.
  14. Slane is dynamite while Forbes looks a class act - the good old number 27 coming to good use again. Mention to Jiom O'Brien as well though he worked his balls off in an unfamiliar position. Sutton gets my MOM award though, looking to link up the play all the time. Completely different player from what I've ever seen before.
  15. Don't have time to read through the thread but I'm delighted with last night. Outstanding performance.
  16. As much as I admire Craigan as a player and a person, I don't see him as an inspiring leader. Sure he leads Reynolds and the fullbacks throughout a game but I don't think his influence carries on up the park.
  17. Jim O'Brien is never a right back. I'm nervous now.
  18. Fcuking hell, Keith Lasley is far from finished. When the going gets tough, he's a man you want in your team. I do fear the day that when his legs are not what they were and he struggles to get around the park but for the time being he still has a lot to offer.
  19. While I'm exciting by Gannon's signing spree, I'll be far more confident about the season ahead if we bring in some experience. If we go with a team of young guns it is imperative we get off to a good start, otherwise we could be in for a tough season. I hope Gannon can unearth a Dailly/Alexander type character.
  20. So we could have a handful of players in by Friday?
  21. Best suited to centre half I believe. After a sticky start with Man United reserves he went on to impress Solskjaer in the last few months of the season, resulting in his debut against Hull and earning a 1 year contract. By all accounts he is a natural athlete possessing strength and pace but is pretty raw with the ball at his feet. Could maybe do a job for us.
  22. I recall him being a bizarre signing for United in January. Don't think he played for Stoke yet fergie made a move for him. I imagined he would be loaned back to Antwerp.
  23. Noticed that yesterday. Would absolutely love him at FP but it looks like it wont happen for a few years yet. Edit: hearts have denied the Beattie chat. http://sport.scotsman.com/heartofmidlothia...e-in.5480641.jp
  24. All the best Stephen, fine midfielder. Would like to think Norwich will be back in the Championship next season.
  25. I haven't heard anything about this percentage sell-on clause. Interesting. Not quite sure what to make of that. As Jay says though, if he was looking to make money off of players then he wouldn't be running the risk of losing them for nowt with 1 year contracts. While I'm not 100% comfortable with 1 year contracts, I'd like to think Gannon will look to extend such contracts come October/November if the player has settled in well.
