Today is the first time I've had the top on and after a close inspection I'm far from chuffed with the quality of the shirt. The bottom section at the back seems bobbled to fuck. And I've now clocked on to why folk have been comparing it to a Spanish fake. Poor show.
  2. Find it hard to get too upset about tonights performance. As anticipated it was little more than a friendly. Early on, I thought we were going to run up a cricket score but it never quite materialised. Nevertheless, I'm pretty happy with the performances of Forbes and Slane in particular. No one else however really done themselves justice and I'm somewhat concerned that Jamie Murphy may end up going backwards. Meanwhile, Sutton has little future at the club if we are going to be playing 4-2-3-1. Looking ahead to next week, if we want to win, we will win.
  3. Slane by a mile. More than just the speed merchant that I was led to believe he was. Think Forbes could prosper into a fine midfielder with the right players around him. The more established names let us down tonight.
  4. Hopefully Gannon gets asked about the out of contract players at the press conference.
  5. Think I've decided against going. Not 100% sure though. Hopefully we have the tie wrapped up on Thursday.
  6. Must admit that while I'm sad to see him go, I'm far from gutted. Good piece of business for us when you think we have lost Skippy, Roscoe & Porter in recent times for less money. Best of luck to you Clarky. Hopefully we'll have the opportunity to cheer you on while wearing the dark blue shirt.
  7. I don't know why some of you find it annoying. I think it will be hilarious if McGhee misses out on him and Hughes. With regards Klimpl, he is a decent player, a destroyer in the middle of the park. Was out injured for his 1st 4 months or so before playing. He started off in defence where he was woeful and quickly moved to midfield, where he received 'cult hero' status in some quarters for his no nonsense attitude. As well as kicking anything and everything he is actually quite comfortable with the ball at his feet, his form did tail off however. Good guy to have in your team but I think the likes of Cardiff can do so much better.
  8. I missed Dave Jones on SSN earlier due to my mid morning kip. However there seems to be some chat about him and the West Brom job. Wonder if I will slow down Quinn's move.
  9. Pretty ridiculous if this proves to be case across the board. The beauty of football shirts is that you can get a good few years of wear out them.
  10. My thoughts exatly. I imagine we would have offered him in the region of £1250-£1500pw. Don't really see the value in heading to a team that is going nowhere.
  11. So Buzz is apparently on the verge of signing for the mighty Brighton on a £2,000 a week contract. Not the most mouthwatering of prospects. Wonder if he regrets turning his back on us!?
  12. Charlie, did Warren Feeney play unde Gannon? Heard a wee rumour today but I wouldn't be surprised if its just someone putting 2 and 2 together. Best of luck down your way, hopefully you come through the current debacle and end up stronger.
  13. We will be doing well to get more than 3500. Plenty folk will either be away on holiday or on the verge of heading away. And in the eyes of some fans, the game is far from a big deal. Quite looking forward to Thursday mind you, hopefully see a few youngsters that may be capable of making an impact this season. As for the bus Andy, I'm just going to go through in the motor with the auld man, saves any hassle getting back to my house.

I won't wear my shirt until Thursday but my initial impression was that the quality of the shirt was fantastic. Hope it doesn't disappoint once its been through the wash. In my opinion, the Bukta shirts looked good from a distance but the quality was shite.
  15. We should be holding out for more. Firstly, Cardiff have just gained £5 million for a half decent defender. Secondly, would we not be entitled to compensation if Quinn runs down his contract? You would think Cardiff would have the decency to pay an extra few pennies given that they could make between £3-£5 million for Roscoe. Very good move for Quinn though. I'll miss him a lot.
  16. Agreed. Time will tell if Gannon lives up to the 'hype' but I believe the right choice has been made.
  17. Lovell can be dangerous on his day but he sounds like a crock. Meanwhile, I've always rated McBride but he would never get a fair crack of the whip returning to Fir Park. Peter Thompson is a very good shout though. Thats the striker we were chasing last summer eh? Did he not get struck down with health problems though!?
  18. Jim Gannon's Motherwell army. Pretty much a done deal.
  19. That would be braw. Got to wonder if the 'new manager' is pulling the strings here. Don't be surprised if Kiegan Parker arrives.
  20. West Brom fans don't rate him too highly do they. From the few times I seen them in the Ashley Young days, they were fairly decent to watch.
  21. Ah fuck. Had one eye on the tennis there.
  22. Didn't realise that Quinn still had 2 years left to go. Nothing less than £500k then. Remember we knocked back about £700k for Reynolds. I would prefer to keep him though and make him captain.
  23. I think we would get around £1.5 million. But thats fair play to Hibs for backing up long term contracts with a determination to not let them go unless silly money is offered. If it wasn't for the precedent set by the fees of O'Connor, Brown & Whittaker, Hibs would be lucky to get £1.5 million for Fletcher.
  24. As the morning has progressed that thought has crossed my mind. While he hopefully shares the same ambition of McGhee, my impression of Boothroyd suggests that he would go about his business in a far more dignified manner. And if thats the case, I'll be pretty chuffed..
