  1. Precisely. Foran was always capable of a goal but I want someone who can hit the bye-line and whip in a cross for the likes of Sutton.
  2. Hah, I'm guessing thats what I get for not tracking back on the thread. Working too hard for a Friday!
  3. Led to believe that this boy has very decent credentials. Worth a punt regardless of position. And I think Stevie Hammel is one of these players that benefits from competition.
  4. You can't object to folk declaring their interest in the job. Staunton and Robertson may well have applied, Boyle may have the courtesy to interview both of them depending on the competition. Unless they come across really well in the interview however, I doubt either will get the job.

See when you are pre-ordering the shirt online, how do you avoid the shipping cost?
  6. Gary McAllister or someone yet to be mentioned.
  7. According to Clyde, Staunton was interviewed. I think we will have a new boss by Monday!
  8. I might be suffering from a lack of slep but I'm not quite understanding of how Mowbray's appointment at Celtic paves the way for Beevers to come here!?
  9. Anything in excess of £500k and I'd bite yer hand off - assuming he isn't going to sign a new contract. Clarky is a real grafter with pace that will score goals when confident. Not in the same class as McCormack though.
  10. He wouldn't have millions to spend at Fir Park so we don't need to worry about that. What he has done, is prove that he can get the very best out of a team and is not afraid to stand up to the big guns. He done good things at Wycombe and an astonishing, absolutely astonishing job with an Irish team that was previously on the brink of International wilderness. If Sanchez is genuinely interested working with Motherwell within the constraints of our financial limitations then it's a one horse race for me!
  11. Is that £90k if you win? Some amount of dough being fired out to a plethora of diddy teams.
  12. I soon brightened up this morning when I heard Sanchez mentioned on the radio this morning. He would be a genuine coup.
  13. Said it before, I've had a feeling in my water about Lennon well before McGhee departed. According to the news this mornign he is to take on the role previously occupied by Willie McStay. Sounded like a bit of a demotion to me so you never know.
  14. Pretty much a dream team although I'm no sure that Brown would carry out the modern-day role of an assistant manager.
  15. It doesn't matter a jot but Leitch is a Rangers fan. I've known that for donkeys years but for anyone in doubt, I'm sure McGhee let the cat out the bag at some point. A token 'Well fan at best.
  16. McAllister is no McGhee. Ambitious maybe but he wouldn't whore himself in a McGhee type manner. As much as I adore McAllister though, I do question his management record. In saying that, guys like Fabian Delph are full of praise for the influence of McAllister.
  17. While I have refrained myself from the hype that surrounds Nijholt on these boards, that article certainly gets the juices flowing. There would certainly be an overwhelming sense of anticipation at the beginning of the season. Looks like he would be looking for a few quid to bring in a few experienced lads. Not so sure Boyle will be able to pull a Porter/Hughes rabbit out the hat this time.
  18. Given the noises coming out of Rugby Park aboutnew signings for next summer, I wonder if Jeffries might call it a day at Rugby Park. I doubt things are not much better at Fir Park but I would like to think that whoeever comes in will be able to make a fair few signings to replace the out of contract lads. I know a lot of fans don't like Jeffries but he has mellowed over the years and if he becomes available, I'd like to see us pursue him. And he can bring Kyle, Bryson & Kiegan Parker along with him. Other than Jeffries, Gannon or McCart would be my preferred choices.
  19. Aye, I would agree that there is no chance of McLean following McGhee up north. I just hope the likes of Craigan are in position to advise Boyle to offer McLean a new contract. I understand if he decides to move on to the likes of St Johnstone or St Mirren though.

Not doom and gloom in the slightest. Exciting times ahead.
  21. £15 is a tad on the steep side. Reckon we will struggle to get more than 4000 there.
  22. If Gannon applies I imagine he will get it. Sounds like a bit of a character mind you.
  23. That is never going to happen to the media darling.
  24. I imagine Hughes & Klimpl will definately be heading up there. And with Graema Smith, it depends how much he rates Langfield. This is what infuriates me though it would appear that no effort was made in keeping these boys at Fir Park as McGhee probably expected for a day like today to come to fruition. They have no chance of getting Clarky at present but that may change come January.
