  1. Good luck to Moore. He needs a right good run of games to try and reignite his career.
  2. McGinn to Hibs seemingly a done deal. At a time where we're open to modest transfer fees, I wonder if we expressed an interest.
  3. The Sun now covering the Jackson Irvine link according to the bbc gossip page. I'm hoping there is something in this.
  4. I suspect we're holding out for superior quality. As Weeyin alludes to, there should be a number of reserve keepers in England looking for a move by the end of August. Twardzik is the best keeper we've had over the past 2 seasons. Happy for him to be no.1 for at least another month.
  5. The Irish press linked us with Bolger (and Towell to an extent) at the beginning of the summer.
  6. Lawson has had to go part time due to injuries. Maybe Vigurs is in the same boat.
  7. If we bring in a midfielder, I'd play all 3 in Inverness with Pearson out to the left a touch. Inverness have over powered and outplayed us many times in recent years. This is a real tough start for us but impossible to predict a result at this time of year.
  8. Preston were always going to be a tough test. Good to hear that Moult got off the mark. Interested to hear how Chalmers is looking. Seems to be getting a fair bit of game time, predominately in midfield.
  9. Is McFadden still training with us just now?
  10. Only had the game on in the background but I clocked this too. Baraclough has previously stated that he's already planning for the January window. Burrows has previously tweeted that we're looking at players outwith the UK. It may be the case that we have our eye on 1 or 2 from the summer leagues across Europe.
  11. It's white. Dan was wearing it against Bradford.
  12. New away top arrived today. Absolutely love it. Full credit to those involved in selecting the design.
  13. Long has plenty 1st team experience before arriving. Can't see us looking to bring in a 19/20 year old keeper unless we are really scrambling for options.
  14. Delighted with the Skippy news. Fantastic business from the club.
  15. Not ruled out as such. The new Sheffield United manager has gave everyone a clean slate while his predecessor had seemingly ok'd a return to Motherwell. Fair chance he'll end up going out on loan next month.
  16. He was called up after Scott Bain pulled out injured in June. Probably one of few options not on holiday. Samson is mediocre at best, similar level to Meldrum. Pretty confident the club are setting their sights a little higher.
  17. Very good goal from Luke Watt. Good to hear that Cadden's absence up until now was down to injury.
  18. Kinda regretted not going when I seen the starting lineup as I'd like to have seen Watt and Fletcher in particular. Good news that Marvin is back and Cadden is now making the bench.
  19. Depressing if that proves to be the case. While not sure about Long, I'd rather stick with him.
  20. Baraclough on radio hoping for Skippy decision in next 48 hours.
  21. Possibly so although probably more common now as box to box midfielders are a dying breed. Regarding Lasley, he might not be fast but he's been terrific at getting round the park.
  22. I do hope Leitch gets his chance and it would be interesting to see if he could adequately cover Lasley. I just think he'd best suited to a central 3. I've been wondering about Cadden. Not heard if he featured against Annan for the U20s.
  23. If young players are good enough, they'll get their chance to develop under Baraclough. Concern is whether any are ready to make the step-up this season. Even Thomas after a promising introduction, looks some way from regular 1st team action. Watt is possibly at the top of the pecking order just now. As for Leitch, I suspect we'd need to revert to a midfield 3 for him to prosper. Regarding the striker situation and the current competition, I think Moult is the one we are banking on to develop and I'm sure he'd like to have the quality of McDonald around him.
  24. Hopefully Irvine or another midfielder. Regarding keepers, I think Baraclough may be willing to play the waiting game for Long, which could take us into August.
  25. Big lump of a boy. If he's close to Laing's level then he'll do well for us. Now need a couple of experienced heads to come in.
