Would be an absolutely mental move.  The chance to get out of our backwater league to develop at an EPL team under a very good coach is something young Scootish players should be walking over hot coals for.  To throw that away to work with Lennon and Kennedy at Celtic, under the cloud of shit that will come over the next 2 seasons is bewildering.

    Fucking this....utterly bizarre.

Have a look at yourself, do you think for a minute that if there had been better or similar offers from English clubs they would have said no we want to sell him to Celtic FFS I think not.

Lots of chat about interest from England but obviously no firm offers, so he's off to Celtic, as they obviously met our asking price, £3m plus add-ons which if he fulfills his potential could double that figure, so potential life changing cash for the club.

The issue was always with this mythical £3m figure.  We were not ballsy enough, I've heard it might have been a release clause, but still compared with other talent out there it's relatively cheap.  Remember the transfer window doesn't shut at midnight ffs.

  3. Unbe-fucking-leavable and unless Turnbull said categorically he wanted to go to Celtic and no-one else we have to ask question of a board that sells out best asset at the drop of a hat the minute the bid comes in.

Apparently £3m + addons - who know what we could have got if he does go for this.....

No question we could have gotten a bidding war on this.

    Typical Motherwell.

  4. I think it was naive of Burrows to go on record as saying it was take a club record fee secure Turnbull. He's basically putting a marker down by merely highlighting what is obvious to everyone and their dog.

It's kind of like saying we'd take circa £2m as a minimum.  We should be looking at £3-5m+  not saying oh we'd like more than we got paid 25 years ago.  Honestly he needs to know when to keep his powder dry.

  5. Burrows and the 'bowling committee' need to get rid of the wee pals act and punt this clown AND Lasley.  Great club servant Las but has been but we need a clean slate and some fresh thinking.  We were rank today.  Within the first 5 mins my and my mates all felt it, it was like a bad smell, we said this is going to be a bad day.  RC were organised and motivated, that Robbo plays a clearly unfit McCormack and his best pal McHugh and leaves Campbell in the bench.  The Spaniard was lostvwhen he came on and Frear has consistently played shite in pretty much every game.  His post match comments were delusional.  His hoofball style has been the worst I've seen in 30 years.  Wanker.

It feels like McCormack has been around for years (I suppose he has), but he's only 32 and, if he stays fit, should still have plenty to offer.

Davie Cooper was 33 when he signed for us and he just about managed to put in a performance or two.

I'm more interested to see if the new signings change the way we play or if they will be forced into the current system.

I'm happy to put my hands up and admit I talk shite, however that comment is utter shite.

Yes our demise has coincided with Leanne Dempster leaving us for Hibs and Alan Burrows taking over as chief exec. Yes financially we're in a good place but on the pitch......jeeso.

It was Dempster that came up with the fan ownership pish, in a town where avg salaries are some of the worst in Scotland and who recommended Burrows and then fucked off to a rival club.

Burrows is as much to blame for this as Robbo but he keeps getting an easy ride as he’s a fan and some of our fickle happy crappy support are mates with him and wouldn’t dare let the facts get in the way of their mate who gives them a response on twitter. The truth is robbo has signed a squad of duds and burrows has signed off on it and wasted precious money on absolute shite . It’s an old pals act though and they are sadly untouchable . Our tactics are from the stone age and the entertainment value is zero. How long canRobbo and flow hide behind two cup finals that we reached and then never turned up in. And the sooner people realise the spin doctor shite about our profit and turnover is down to two big transfer fees and has fuck all to do with Robbos ability as a manager or burrows as a chief executive . If any of the two of them were decent our bank balance would be much better than it is right now . We need shot of both of them now before we hit rock bottom .

Worst motherwell team in my lifetime and it’s not even worth watching anymore . Will burrows sack him to save his own job !!!!!or maybe he can fall back to his photography role he’s qualified for .

I think Keith Lasley nailed it we were slow and second to every challenge, think we need about 5 players recruited for January, definitely two forward men and someone that can put a decent ball in, think goalkeeper is the only safe position in our squad...

I wouldn't let this clown near a penny.  He should be hunted along with Lasley. We need a fresh approach and that includes Lasley also.

Well, that's the end of a week where the standard of professionalism at Motherwell Football Club fell to perhaps an all time low.

When managers are picking and choosing what matches to compete in something is very, very badly wrong at the club.  I said at the time it was a deplorable decision.   Firstly we effectively given up a match where there was three points to be won.  Never mind that getting them was unlikely, they should been competed for but weren't.

But then, secondly, for the team to be rested to put in that performance told you everything.   The style of play is an affront to top level football.   It's atrocious.  It's never been worse, never, in 40 years of watching this club.

The standard of player is a disgrace.  Don't even have the most rudimentary footballing skills.  But forget using a football, they don't even have an ability to organise themselves, to run off the ball, to help team mates or even show any pride in themselves.  We punt it and we give away fouls.  That's what we do.  That's what 2 years of Robinson's coaching has done to us.  Punt and foul.

The manager proved himself an idiot this week.  And the players proved that not only are they not footballers, that they shouldn't be picking up wages on false pretenses, they proved that they don't even care that much.

Not one iota was given this afternoon until it was far too late.  Not one!  Same old faces, failing time and time again.  They need kicked out of the club.

And you know what the worst thing about today was?  It was oh so predictable.  We are truly woeful.  You know how bad?  Barraclough's team would murder that lot.

Someone, somewhere, has to come into this club and introduce some professional standards.  The club right now is a disgrace.

Absolutely fantastic post.  Taking off the heart of your defense when Grimmy was toiling and then also Tate, a good passer of a long ball.  Ending up with 5 forwards was schoolkid stuff, Robbo should be ashamed of himself.  Big decisions have to be made and I feel there is a clear lack of leadership at the core of the club.

Stuart Carswell likes Marc Fitzpatrick liking Shaun Fagan's like

Paul Slane wishes he could afford any device to connect to the internet to like Stuart Carswell liking Marc Fitzpatrick's liking of Shaun Fagan's like, however he is  wanking for coins in a pub car park.

  12. Listened to 5 live a few weeks back and some Stoke fan was on comparing SPFL to a pub league.  Good to see Stoke go down pity about Paisley ned boy Lambert but they are in terminal decline and he was running out of choices.  Think his career is in the shitter anyway.  Hoping for a mackem like decent to obsecurity for Stoke..arseholes.

  13. Next signing will be in tomorrow according to Flow on twitter!

Said it before I find it sad that he touts the clubs activities on his own Twitter account...it lacks professionalism. You don't see people in his position at other clubs doing this. Smack of a wee bit of wanting to be the fan's pal. Others will welcome the openness, not for me.

  14. I know a few folk involved at Stranraer and the general concensus was that although Watt has talent, he lacked any application and has a very negative attitude and disruptive influence.

I find it very hard to believe that he would be anything like his wankbag cousin Tony, surely not...
