  1. Our All time Home League Record v Kilmarnock P121; W62; D22; L37 GF 204; GA 138 Win 51%; Draw 18%; Lose 31%. Last 5 home games against them: W3; D2; L1.
  2. I doubt the size of fanbase has any bearing on whether or not some “rich weirdo” as you put it, would be attracted to buy any club. Anyone with a large financial surplus would be wise to steer clear of football clubs because they are simply black holes for money.
  3. Hoary old chestnut I know, but fan ownership for a club with a small hard core support of around 4,000 is at the heart of the “we’re skint” mantra. It was commendably idealistic and laudable but more a reaction (inevitable?) to our administration. I think as time has moved on it’s become increasingly clear that we simply don’t have a large enough fanbase to support our ownership model.
  4. That’s a very important point because the further you go in the cup competitions the more income is generated both for progressing and from potential TV revenues. Another missed opportunity.
  5. It will come as no surprise that our overall home league results against Rangers stinks but here are the bare stats: P136 W27 L80 D29 F148 A282 Win: 20% Lose: 59% Draw: 21% Our last home League win was 1-0 on 26th December 2002.
  6. Agreed. As an old industrial works phrase went “you can only pee with the c*ck you’ve got.”
  7. VAR Today: Ross County pen claim in 1st half. Ref denied it but failed to consult to confirm. It was the right decision as the replay showed our player got a touch first. Gave pen to Ross County at start of 2nd half. Asked by VAR to review then rightly reversed his decision as the Ross County player fouled Butcher first. Yellow-carded Ross County player for foul on KVV then changed to a red card after being asked to review by VAR. If it was for last man decision IMO it was wrong and if it was for high tackle on Van Veen IMO it was dubious at best. Still nice 3 points to have so onwards at upwards. COYW.
  8. Spot on. I’ve been posting about that all season.
  9. Credit to Dean Cornelius there. Took a pass, laid a pass, ran on took the return and slid a lovely pass for Spittal to cross. That’s what midfield players do. Well played young man.
  10. Certainly looked like it. No VAR at Dingwall! Strange.
  11. Not only Spittall. Slattery and Goss have reverted back to what they were like under Hammell - no protection to defence and no support to front two.
  12. Our league record against Ross County at Dingwall: P17; W8; D3; L6; GF25; GA23 Win 47%; Draw 18%; Loss 35%
  13. I have no feelings towards the guy either way. I merely stated publicly available facts that show he has been a trouble maker in his past. Whether or not that occurs here at FP, time will tell. As my post being a “feckin ridiculous post” this is a public fans forum where everyone is free to air their views, opinions comments, remarks etc. Constructive criticism and disagreement with is part of that but there’s no need to ridicule. So in the interests of balance I’d like to state that your’s is a “feckin ridiculous post” and that we agree to disagree. 👍
  14. Information easily accessible via internet. Time will tell. My employment record has got nothing to do with it and is my business but for the record, I was an exemplary employee.
  15. Can’t understand why we’ve made this appointment. The guy is a troublemaker. April 2017 Brought St Johnstone in to disrepute after an on-pitch brawl with teammate Danny Swanson. Both suspended and subsequently fined four weeks' wages. August 2019 Involved in incident with manager Tommy Wright on training pitch. Dropped from first team. 25 May 2020 Released from contract for criticising the club chairman for not taking advantage of government's furlough scheme calling it "morally shocking". Boy can our board pick them!
  16. We now have only 6 games left before the split: Ross County (A) Rangers (H) Hibs (A) Livingston (H) Dundee Utd (H) Celtic (A)
  17. Including yesterday, they’d played 14 games at home and only lost 3 times - Celtic, Rangers and Livingston and only 4 other clubs had taken a point from them - Hearts, St.Mirren, Dundee Utd and us. Up until yesterday they’d played 14 games away from home and failed to win a single game and have only managed 2 draws - St Mirren and us. Now I know usually teams away form is worse than their home form but you can’t help thinking that this is an abnormal balance.
  18. These artificial grass pitches are notoriously hard to play on. They certainly seem to afford clubs that have them an advantage above that of a ‘normal home advantage’. Maybe it’s time the SPFL made it a condition of being in our top league that all clubs have grass pitches. In terms of today, I posted last week that I’d be happy with a point from this and the Ross County game next week so I’m fine with today’s result. We were poor in the 1st half but were the better side in the 2nd and overall I think a draw was maybe a fair result. A few weeks ago if we’d have been offered 7 points from these last 3 games we’d have grabbed it with glee. If we get a point next week then both Ross County and Kilmarnock will have failed to make any ground on us and that’s vital at this time of the season.
  19. Ah great memories. What a right-back. On full throttle he galloped up the wing like a rampaging bull elephant and when he tackled somebody they invariably didn’t want to go near him again. Hard as granite but fair - well most of the time.
  20. This does seem to be taking an inordinately long time to get sorted out. It’s pointless to speculate but maybe the board do want him BUT they’re only offering the job until the end of the season then review. If that’s the case I can understand their reluctance to offer more at this point given their experience with the last two managerial appointments.
  21. Roger Hynd!! Now that’s a blast from the past! I can still hear the chorus of “Roger, Roger shut your mouth” from the Rangers fans!!
  22. Stuart Kettlewell Option 1 Offer the job until end of this season then review. If we stay up he gets it on a longer term basis and if we don’t then he returns to his academy job. Option 2 Offer job on permanent basis with either a rolling 12-month contract or a term contract and let him choose his own assistants etc… Option 3 Thank him for what he’s done and let him go back to his academy job. Choose either Holloway or McCann. I accept this may be an over simplification of things and if anyone has other options I’d like to see them. All 3 options carry risk, some more than others but a decision needs to be made soon as it’s unfair on the candidates involved and the players to let it drag on. Personally, I don’t fancy any of the 3 in the frame but we are where we are and if I had to make the choice it would be option 1 because it carries the lowest risk.
  23. Our league record at Rugby Park: P116 W45 L52 D19 GF147 GA187 Win 39% Draw 16% Lose 45%
  24. It’ll be the battle of the beardies then. 😂😂😂
